Re: hose holder
I bought one. The problem for us north of the border is that we get slapped with a huge shipping charge.

What type of pillow do you use?
Are those pillows designed for masks any good? Can you recommend one? And if not what do you use?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Cpap machine pressure?
The Dr. started me on a pressure of 8 but I couldn't handle it. I begged to lower it to 5 but they said that would do anyhting for me so we settled on 6. I'm now going to take a step forward and get it turned back to 8. Can't imagine what it would be like beyond 10.

Re: 1 month and really struggling...............
Thanks everyone. I'm glad to report that even though my last post was at roughly 1030 last night I did go to bed and had a good nights sleep! Amazing. I used the CPAP and actually brought my iphone to bed with me and listen to one of my app's that has all kinds of soft sound bites like water rolling...

Buckhorn dan, Problems falling asleep when you are first starting out are NOT uncommon. Some good advice has been given to you. And as the honorary president of the CPAP&Insomnnia Club, I'll also suggest that you take the time to read through my essay Taming the CPAP Induced Insomnia Monster . Whil...

1 month and really struggling...............
Before being diagnosed I had no problem at least going to sleep. Since getting my machine I can't sleep with the CPAP and now can't sleep without it... basically I can't sleep at all! I'm asking myself what happened to me??? I know I need to win this battle with the CPAP unit however I'm now facing ...

Re: 1st week on the mask and can't get comfortable
Wow, my pressure is set at 6 and I think that is high . My Dr. started me at 8 and I couldn't adjust so he put me down to 6.. I guess I should be happy .. of course that is only if the unit is doing what it is suppose to do.

Re: Question about Raising Pressure
How do you change the pressure? My Doctor locked mine in so I can't play with it. I shouldn't complain however since it's only set at 6 but should be at 8.

Re: New and struggling
I'm not so sure of that Abby... last night for some reason I just couldn't deal with the mask but hung in there until 500 am before pitching it. Also remember that I'm still taking a pill before bed to relax me... can't do that forever.
Hang in there.
Hang in there.

Re: New and struggling
Wow I can't belive all the stories about DME and making sure you use your machine at least 4 hours a night... talk about adding stress to the already stressful situation!!!! Up here in the great white north (Canada) I just submitted my bill to my insurance company and they reimbursed me no questions...

New and struggling
Thanks to everyone for their great posts and support. I've been recently diagnosed with moderate/severe sleep apnea. Of course I'm in denial and having difficultly facing this situation because the art of sleeping is so sacred to me. In saying this I used to adore going to bed to enjoy my sleep. I'm...
