Re: Resmed S9 machine malfunction
the little plastic slide on the card is the write protect 'lock', you likely bumped it to the locked position, so the s9 couldn't write to it. next time it tells you to unlock it, do what it says! Wow palerider I never knew about the lock/unlock on the SD card!!! Problem solved! TY!!! Muscial63.. I ...

Resmed S9 machine malfunction
Last night I did my usual routine. Water in chamber .. check, mask clean..check, SD card in...check.. but when I turned it on I got a strange new message on the screen that said: Attenion, read only card, please remove and 'unlock' and re-insert SD card. I was tired and just ignored it. Unlock what ...

Sleep apnea and hearing loss
I found this to be an interesting article on how sleep apnea can potentically cause hearing loss. In the last 4 years I have been diagnosed with not only sleep apnea but also hearing loss for which I required two hearing aids. I'm curious to know if others also got both diagnoses? http://www.everyda...

Re: Help! Why do I sleep soooo much?
I would look into the cause of the back pain rather than just trying to mask it with pain meds. A "good" chiropractor or DO may be able to relieve the cause of the pain without resorting to a prescription pad. I have been there several times with a torn rotator cuff and bursitis in my knee. Two dif...

Re: Help! Why do I sleep soooo much?
Ok Results of last nights sleep. First off I did not use ANY sleep aid. I did have some significant pain issues with back so I had to take a 1/2 pain pill after 2 hours of tossing and turning, which did put me to sleep. I wore the mask the whole night! yah! I did 10 hrs and 23 mins of mask time. I h...

Re: Help! Why do I sleep soooo much?
thanks Chicago Granny for info links and others for your help. 1. I will just go off the sleep aid and 2. I will not sleep even a couple hours without mask. I will set an alarm and try to go to bed earlier each night in hopes of getting up earlier. Here's hoping for 7 - 8 hrs of quality sleep. Not t...

Re: Help! Why do I sleep soooo much?
thanks for responses.. the 'natural' sleep aid I use is by Natrol called Sleep n' Restrore. But I am feeling anything but restored I ran it past my sleep doc and he quickly looked at it and said fine. I was on Ambien 2.5 mg - 5 mg for 5 yrs so anything is better than that. Well anyhow the ingrediant...

Help! Why do I sleep soooo much?
I always mask up and turn out the lights at 11:30 - 12AM. Sometimes I fall asleep very fast, sometimes not. I can have restless nights where it can take an hour to get to sleep, but not often. BUT... the problem is that I get up around 4 am to use bathroom and go back to sleep untill 11 AM!!! I feel...

Re: TAP PAP
So I recieved my Tap Pap and get right to boiling water and doing the fitting. I wanted to love this mask as it has so many pluses for me... no headgear, light weight, low profile but most of all I wanted something to take care of my mouth breathing. This did work however there is one problem that I...

TAP PAP
Who has tried the Tap Pap? I ordered it today and hope it works for me. It looks interesting with the mouth guard piece. I am a side sleeper and mouth breather. I have tried 2 FFM recently and they just didn't work for me. I love my Swift FX but resort to mouth taping which I don't like, but it work...

I got mine on Ebay. Nice fleece fabric... homemade and well made. Easy enough to get on and off. It was cheap too!

Resmed S9 set from CPAP to APAP
My pressure is set at 9 and I am not feeling rested when I wake up in the morning. I will often take mask off (nasal pillows) after just a few (3-4) hours of sleep and go without for the rest of the night as nostril and head can't take the air pressure directly into my nose. I don't wake up refreshe...

Re: OT: Hearing Aids
ladyjanern, can you use the ReSound remote without wearing it around your neck?? no it doesn't go around your neck. It's a small gizmo you carry in you purse or pocket. You can change volume of one or both aids, change programs, turn one down or just turn them off. Now there is an app on your phone ...
