Re: Do You Set Your Pressure Or Let The Machine Adjust
I use a set pressure. Using the APAP seems to cause me to wake more often and more fully than when I use fixed pressure. I also have fewer leakage problems. Who's supposed to determine what causes the leaks? DME? Doctor? Patients? My doc's tech was so bad he didn't fix the pressures on my machine w...

Re: Humidifier help please
I wore my hubby's fitlife mask once. This mask tends to keep the whole face warmer than nasal pillows, which was my usual mask at the time. It might be helpful to keep your face warm outside the sinuses. Thanks for the info. I'm thinking about the ResMed full face Mask for Her. Might fit better tha...

I only have one hose with an orange connection that locks securely in the back of the humidifier.

Re: Humidifier help please
Thanks. It's *slightly* warm even though it's set at 86 degrees which is the highest setting, but it feels cold when it goes into my sinuses, stings. I guess I'll have to get the techs to look at it. Thanks.squid13 wrote:Remove the tank and feel the heating plate and see if it is getting warm.

Humidifier help please
I have a Resmed S9 and when I turn it on with the water in the reservoir the air isn't warming. I have it set to 86 degrees. To double check, I wore the headgear and turned on the machine for over 5 minutes, then stuck my finger in the reservoir and the water was still cold. I tried this several tim...

Re: Can they take my CPAP MACHINE AWAY???
It was directed to you. Are sure it is resolved. Earlier, you said you were given another 30 days, which means that you STILL need to prove compliance. Which means you still need to master this and quickly, or you will lose the machine next month. Thanks for your concern. My compliance rate was 67%...

Re: Can they take my CPAP MACHINE AWAY???
I got a new Resmed S9 and the provider read the data. Despite trying very hard to comply, my numbers fell short (but not too short) of compliance numbers (they downloaded the data from my machine) and I got no warning. I've been struggling with the headgear, too, which the company knew about.Thanks...

Re: Can they take my CPAP MACHINE AWAY???
Thanks, these are good questions but running to the ER a lot with my mother and dealing with her health problems has been the #1 issue in my life. I think I've been falling asleep without realizing it (TV and everything on) because I've been so exhausted. Things are a bit more settled now but despi...

Re: Can they take my CPAP MACHINE AWAY???
My score was 67% compliance. The minimum is 70%. I wasn't too far off. I'm still wondering why picking up my machine was so urgent. Also, Medicare gave me 30 extra days. When my DME said no, I called back medicare and they said no also. I asked if the woman who allowed me an extra 30 days was wrong....

Re: Can they take my CPAP MACHINE AWAY???
You can always lock your door and not answer the doorbell when they arrive until the issue is resolved. I highly doubt that they will get a warrant to gain acess to the machine. my guess is that after one or two failed attempts, they will send you a bill for the machine. Dave If they bill you, they'...

I'd probably get a bill for $950 in the mail if they didn't get it back when requested, but I did call to...

Re: Can they take my CPAP MACHINE AWAY???
[quote="archangle Thanks[quote/] How long have you had the machine? I think you have 90 days to meet the 70% in 30 days requirement. Do you think you actually failed the 4 hours per night for 30 days, or is it possible they made a mistake?[quote/] ====================================================...

Re: What Can Happen If You Don't Use Your Cpap Machine?
What you wrote is very true. This is why a 70% compliance rate on a new machine is extreme. They yank the machine out of your home if you don't meet compliance rates. So, insurers wind up paying for the serious health problems listed in the link you have. In the long run, not only is it detrimental ...
