Re: Help with New airsense 11 autoset humidification with heated tube in cold room
Warmer air holds more moisture than colder air. See this thread posts number 2 and 3 for condensation prevention. http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t94035/Pugsys-Pointers-3Dealing-with-therapy-bumps-in-the-road.html Your cold bedroom is your biggest problem. You have increase the hose air temp and ...

Help with New airsense 11 autoset humidification with heated tube in cold room
I just received an airsense 11 autoset with heated tubing (i had a dreamstation and got tired of waiting for replacement) and have had a few nights with it. The room I sleep in gets very cold at night and condensation is a problem in the winter. I first tried setting humidity to max and heated tube ...

Re: Switched to machine with autopap capabilities - basic advice please
Thanks, I will try pugsy's advice. I don't completely understand the flagging stuff, but that will be a start since i don't have a ton of time to research at the moment.

Switched to machine with autopap capabilities - basic advice please
What pressure range would you recommend when i have been on 6 steady for years? I have been using a cpap from fall of 2009. A respironics system 1 with a cpap pressure setting of 6. Also using a mirage quatro full face mask. I tried a s10 or s9 (don't remember) for a week or two and it just didn't w...

unusual insomnia problem
I use a cpap at pressure 6 with varying degrees of success - mostly its pretty successful. For one of the first times in 4 years or so, i am experiencing long wait times to go to sleep and long wake times when i wake in the middle of the night. It took several hours on saturday night to fall asleep,...

Re: Switching from Cpap to Autopap - feedback please
There was a setting on how the exhale works, will just cpap mode make it exactly the same?
Thanks for the quick reply! And all the replies.

Re: Switching from Cpap to Autopap - feedback please
Update - Last night - night 3 i switched back to system 1 cpap at pressure 6. I went to bed at around 10:30 and really didn't sleep well, quite similar to when i don't wear a cpap, finally at 2:00 am i checked my pressure on my airsense 10 and it was around 10-11. Leaking has been an issue during th...

Re: Switching from Cpap to Autopap - feedback please
on the s10 - tubetemp and climatecontrol are auto system 1 - had dial set at 1 for humidity. I got the heated tube, because in the winters i was getting condensation problems without it on system 1 due to cold temps at night in the house. Probably should turn that off in the summer as the house is a...

Switching from Cpap to Autopap - feedback please
I have been on a resmed system 1 with heated humidifer since 2009 with pressure setting 6- using mirage quattro full face mask. Since then i have significantly improved my physical condition so i took an at home sleep study to see if i was "Undiagnosed" of sleep apnea. I got a mild apnea (same as be...

Re: I get sinus/nasal congestion when i don't use the cpap!
Glad to hear there are others with the same positive side effect. I wonder if one of the main reasons i wasn't sleeping well was the difficulty breathing due to congestion. It took a while to figure this out, but my wife is pretty restless, i think she is dreaming of playing soccer or something and ...

I get sinus/nasal congestion when i don't use the cpap!
I did a search, but couldn't find anything specific to this issue so i thought i would ask the group. So far it appears to me that one of the benefits of the cpap with heated humidifier is that i rarely get congestion and hardly get colds any more. Almost every time i take a night off i wake up with...
