Re: Newly diagnosed and confused (Canada)
In May I purchased one in Ontario Canada (The Niagara Region to be specific). ADP covered $780 of the price. (Total price was $1544). Pretty basic unit for that price.

Re: Best mask for side sleeping?
My first mask was a Zest Q. Worked fabulously for the first month, didn't work as well on my second machine during month 2. Bought a Sleepweaver Advanced with ZZZephyr Seal and I sleep like a baby in any position. 7 hrs a night. I can't remember the last time I slept like that when I wasn't sick in ...

Re: Is my OSA/sleep apnea diagnosis a scam?
I didn't read the 9 pages of posts but I'm sure most of the stories are the same. We all find some benefit if we stick with it. Quick run down. I have never slept well for years. Shift work, kids, life, stress. Then I developed pain. Had vericose vein treatment because they were sure that was some o...

Re: Apnea is under control, but now have RLS
My sleep doctor suggested my family dr do a blood test and check my Feiritin levels. I thought that my constant leg pain and shaking was contributing to my waking in the night as well as my apnea.

Re: Newbie seeks mask suggestions
If your DME doesn't want to let you try something - Go somewhere else. Try on everything if you must. It's your face and your money. Mine didn't want to sell me or even let me try a SleepWeaver Advance. One store I called told me my setting of 8 was too high for the mask. The store I ended up at doe...

Re: New to CPAP
Installed Sleepyhead. I only have a frew boxes that show up, nothing like what's posted on this website. All the lines are straight except usages which is all over the place. Everything looks perfect according to it. So the machine is getting unplugged and in September or October when the weather ch...

Re: i cant use the CPAP
I too have been struggling with mine. My first step was to go back to where I bought it with my logs (personal handwritten) of how I felt, what time I put it on, how long the machine said I had used it and what felt different from the previous trial machine. They turned off the EPR on the machine an...

Re: New to CPAP
Well after 2 hrs I'm awake again and searching for more answers. This time I woke up unable to breath or swallow because my mouth was open and dry. I had to get out of bed for water. I have the EPR turned off because I couldn't sleep more than 2 hrs with it on. I was removing the mask and didn't eve...

Re: New to CPAP
Machine is on a table that is even with my bed. Had read that on the forums when I started. This place is great for getting started. I googled your idea. See the pads and have decided that since all of them come from the US and I'm in canada I can attempt to make one. The photos are detailed enough ...

Re: New to CPAP
Looking for my paperwork to see what the trial machine was. It was either the ResMed or Respironics. I am pretty sure it was the S8 and that's why they moved me to the S9. The mask has been in use since April 29th. Do they really wear out every 2.5 months? I am looking into the pads as suggested but...

New to CPAP
Hello, I'm new to CPAP. Well it's been 2 months now. I started with a trial machine. FABULOUS. Had that for a month before I decided it was changing my life and I had to buy one. Took about 2 weeks to get use to the machine but 4 hrs of sleep a night was making a difference. Got my real machine afte...
