Re: Pressure setting
That is the way it was explained to me - continuous pressure at 16. The machine ramps up for five minutes and holds steady at 16 throughout the night. These are all questions I should be asking my sleep specialist but, quite frankly, i have never been impressed with them. Unfortunately, they are the...

Re: Pressure setting
I am using a ResMed Airsense 11. This is the best I could do for the report. Also I am using a Dreamwear Full Face Mask by Phillips. It fits fine with no leaks until it gets to high pressure which is why I want to know if I can turn the pressure down a bit? The pressure it fixed at 16. Sleep therapy...

Pressure setting
I have been using CPAP for over 10 years. Always used a F&P 360 nasal pillow mask but losing air due to my mouth dropping open in deep sleep. Switched to a Dreamwear mask and it fits well but once it reaches my pressure of 16, it starts leaking at sides of my face. I would like to drop the pressure ...

Problem with leakage SOLVED!!
If this is helpful to anyone, I must share. After a few months of my nasal pillows not sealing (I use the Opus 360 nasal pillow mask by Fisher Pykell) and changing out all equipment to try and resolve leaking issues, I was about to throw in the towel. I had even tried the Max Pillow Soft product but...

Re: Humidifier issue with Luna II CPAP machine
That is exactly how the water in my old humidifier tank looked. The water danced. This new machine, the water barely moves which is why I knew something was wrong with the humidifier. Thanks so much for your input! Hopefully I will get my new machine sooner rather than later!

Re: Humidifier issue with Luna II CPAP machine
JLROhio, your description of water bubbles in an aquarium tank was more accurate than me saying the water boiled. However to bring all that responded up to date, I have spoken with a clinician at 3B Medical (the manufacturer of my Luna machine) as well as my DME provider and my Sleep Center provider...

Humidifier issue with Luna II CPAP machine
I have had the Luna II since the first of December. (it replaced my recall Phillips machine). My issue/question regards the heated humidifier. I have been waking up with severe dry mouth and my nasal passages are dry and painful. I have been using CPAP for over 10 years and never had this problem. W...

Re: Newbie wanting help reading Sleepyhead graphs
Do you find that the dreammaker mask ensures your mouth will stay closed while sleeping?? I have been on CPAP for several years sleeping with the Opus 360 nasal pillow mask, however, of late, i am losing pressure through my mouth. I have tried taping and various chin strap/anti-snoring devices witho...

Re: Need help with mouth breathing issue
Yes, I have had that issue as well. I really need to find a solution. I read on this forum about The Ultimate Chin Strap, but don't know where to purchase it.

Need help with mouth breathing issue
I have been using a CPAP machine for several years. When I started using the machine, I was given a headband to use because I am a mouth breather. I had wonderful results for a long time. I felt rested and had energy, but the last few months I have felt less rested and been dragging. I am afraid it ...

Mask leaves marks on face
My mask, Opus 360, leaves marks on my face. I have heard there are covers you can purchase that will prevent this. Can someone please tell me what company I could contact to see about purchasing a cover for my mask. Love the way I feel using CPAP, but hate the way I look each morning with those mark...

Getting sleepy again -- need help
I have been using a CPAP mask and chin strap for about 1 1/2 years. My life has been totally transformed and I have felt like a new person UNTIL my chin strap got stretched out. O2 Medical gets my supplies for me and the chin strap they ordered me in August, 2013, still is on backorder. I know I am ...

Re: Weight gain + CPAP
I wondered if all that air blowing in your body might cause bloating - hence, I might show a weight gain. I am tracking faithfully and following the plan plus, now that I have been given the green light to exercise again, I am on the treadmill daily. Guess I will just have to be patient and see what...

Re: Weight gain + CPAP
You know, since I started this therapy, the covers actually stay on the bed during the night whereas before they were always on the floor. I have undergone so many lifestyle changes in such a short period. It started with being diagnosed with arrythmias. That diagnosis led to taking me off caffeine,...

Weight gain + CPAP
Making progress with my CPAP therapy. Have been on it for two weeks now and I am definitely sleeping better and have more energy throughout the day. Still feel a little tired, but think it is just a matter of catching up on a lot of lost sleep. My goal is to hopefully lose enough weight that maybe, ...
