Re: Home titration versus sleep lab titration???
Bekurs, A sleep-lab titration is MUCH better because you usually have an experienced and skilled tech monitoring your breathing, monitoring your oxygen-saturation level, and adjusting your xpap pressure as needed during the titration. A home-based titration cannot even begin to compare as far as pro...

Re: What's the best way to clean the hose?
Mildew can grow on the inside of a damp hose, so cleaning it every once in awhile is a good idea. I take it in the shower, clean it with warm sudsy water, thoroughly rinse it, and then hang it on the shower bar to dry.mon wrote:Has anyone got good ideas on how to clean the hose on my CPAP?

I'm surprised the sleep lab did not administer Ambien or some other sleep aid. It seems like a waste of time and money to go through all that effort for naught.

About the $5K you owe me, don't worry about it. All's forgiven. Good morning Brucifer. Dear, you must have had severe OSA with major leak issues that were not dealt with for about a week and a half. Last time we PM'd one another 6 weeks ago, I understood that I owed you $15K. I'm SOOO glad all is f...

Re: Trouble Getting Polysomnogram from Hospital
Not sure if anyone mentioned, but if you were titrated between 5 and 12 cm, with centrals beginning to manifest at 12, Why did they recommend you use cpap at 13 cm? Chunky, I couldn't figure that out either. While I was perusing the report today, I came across the table below. It shows my OSA event...

Re: Trouble Getting Polysomnogram from Hospital
UPDATE: The records department at the hospital came through for me. Today I picked up an excellent report that is both thorough and very informative. Thanks for everyone's input.

A good place to get a dependable deep-cycle battery is through Advanced Auto. Order through their website online, and then pick the battery up at a local store. I just checked, and right now they have a sale if you make a $100 purchase online, they will give you 15% off and give you a $50 coupon tow...

Re: Trouble Getting Polysomnogram from Hospital
I plan on stopping by the hospital on the way home from work tomorrow. I have a Rx and some labs results to pick up at the hospital, so while I'm there, I'm going to go to records and check on the status of my request. When they figure out that I'm not going away, maybe they will provide the report ...

Re: S9 Detailed data only if card is in the machine?
One problem I had with my S9 is that the SD card did not record one night. The SD card was seated properly, but the data simply was not recorded. Go figure.

Re: Trouble Getting Polysomnogram from Hospital
@old64mb - I have been patient and nice with both the hospital and the pulmonologist's office. I'll only write the certified letter IF I get stonewalled. If that is what ultimately happens, then I really won't want to continue my relationship with them anyway. We have too many excellent hospitals in...

Re: Trouble Getting Polysomnogram from Hospital
Thanks for the responses. So far, all that the hospital and pulmonolist have provided me is a two-page summary report, and most of that report just states summative data, the pulmonologist's interpretation of my sleep study, remarks concerning her discussion with me post-sleep study, and her treatme...

Trouble Getting Polysomnogram from Hospital
Has anyone else had trouble getting their polysomnogram from their hospital/sleep-study center? I underwent a sleep study on July 10 at a local hospital. It was ordered by my (former) pulmonologist who also happens to be the director of the hospital's sleep center, and she is also the person who rea...
