Thank you all for your great help. We have returned and my CPAP machine performed just fine and using tap water. I'll clean the reservoir today.

CPAP Use In Europe
We're leaving the USA for Italy & France very soon and I want to make sure that my power converter will properly power my Resmed 9. The power brick shows 90w and 100-240v. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GVKVGKF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Also, assuming I don't find...

AirSensense 10 AutoSet Quiet?
Thanks to everyone that has responded. While the insurance and doctor visit prior to CIGNA approving the purchase have taken WAY too long, I've decided on the ResMed AirSensense 10 AutoSet. However, the running quietness is VERY important to me and my spouse. My S9 AutoSet quietness is very acceptab...

Re: New Machine Help
Second Wind CPAP has a lightly used S9 Auto available as well as a new one. They also have some AirSense 10 machines. Also check your local Craig's List and Facebook Marketplace. I found my back up machine on Marketplace. He is going through his CIGNA insurance LSAT is correct however, I certainly ...

New Machine Help
I'm in quick need of a replacement CPAP type of device and I don't know what's out there today. Can someone direct me to a thread or website that can give me an idea of what to ask CIGNA & Care Centrix for? Currently have a broken Resmed - s9 Autoset which was fantastic. I couldn't find a thread her...

Re: Without CPAP For A Week - What Position To Sleep?
You say you have a S9 AutoSet with the HI5 Humidifier so just disconnect your humidifier and connect a regular hose to the blower unit. Thanks for the suggestion however, I've only had one hose since I got this unit a little over two years ago. I'm just going to run my CPAP without any water in the...

Re: Without CPAP For A Week - What Position To Sleep?
When you replaced the hose onto the machine, did the usual Climateline recognition message appear? Yes I just checked that it said Climate Control Enabled. Have you tried it without any water in the humidifier? Better than no CPAP perhaps? I don't understand why you are even considering not using y...

Without CPAP For A Week - What Position To Sleep?
Following my cleaning of my Resmed S9 heated tube with white distilled vinegar & water mixture two days ago, I'm getting water on my face nightly. So I guess I mishandled the tube or perhaps damaged the 3 copper electrical connections on the end. Also, I don't know if I could have somehow changed a ...

Switched To Swift LT Nasal Pillows - Not Good Results
I've been waking up after about 4 hours while using my full mask of 6 months. My doctors office specialist said to try something else and prescribed a nasal pillow. I've tried it for two nights and it has been terrible. I have woken up after only a few hours with the air blasting through the tube. I...

Re: Must Choose Between CPAP & Sore Face
....2. The mask is probably too tight. Everyone says this, but it took me about three months to really get it that I was STILL over-tightening. The mask should truly barely stay on your face. This feels so weird, but it's how they're designed to work. Loosen the straps up, a lot, and see how things...

Must Choose Between CPAP & Sore Face
I've been using my CPAP for about a week and have developed a very sore area on the right side of my face where the nasal mask rests. It hurts and it's not great looking so for now. I've chosen to let it get better and not use the CPAP. I've seen comments here about additional pads etc that I could ...

CPAP & Eye Vitreous Detachment, Related?
After noticing flashes of light in my right peripheral vision last week accompanied by floaters in the same eye I went to an opthamologist the next afternoon. I decided not to wait after reading the thread here titled "Eye Floaters and flashes of light". I would have posted there but the thread has ...

Showing Improvement
Well, night 3 was much better as I only woke up once after 2 hours and then got another 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep so I'll try and make this my last post in this mostly negative thread.

Re: First Night - Frustrating & Disappointing
DD, I see it has been almost 3 weeks since your post. Are you doing better? I hope so. But 3 weeks was about my lowest point of despair, so checking up on you. It did get better for me. Hang in there. My post was July 26th but I joined the forum around July 7th. Perhaps that's what you saw gertrude...

Re: First Night - Frustrating & Disappointing
Cpap therapy takes time, for most of us, to become effective. When you start a diet do you lose 30 pounds overnight? I certainly understand about it taking time and it's not going to happen overnight. I have seen several comments here stating to be sure to post my experiences and that's all it was ...
