Re: Is the Sleep Study necessary vs. just buying an APAP m/c?
If I had it to do over again I would do just what you said. Buy a APAP, set the pressure for 5 to 20 and use the machine. Read the data and then start to narrow down my pressure window. Check craigslist if your doc will not go along. That is just my opinion, others will no doubt disagree so make you...

Re: Nasel Mask vs Pillow Poll
I like my pillows.
Less head gear strapped on, light weight, and they work great for me.
Easy to put on and take off.
I have used nasal masks and did not like them.

Re: Update : New bed, new numbers, new results
your old bed - what kind of bed and how old was it? I was looking years back and tried the temps bed but could not afford the price, but i know people who have them and they all love them. Instead i purchased a memory foam from costco for around $800 (king size). Its been ok for about 6 years but n...

Re: My last trip to my sleep doctor
I had a follow up appointment with my sleep doc next week and I canceled it.
I don't see a reason to drive 50 miles and pay him to tell me "everything looks good, keep it up, see you next year".

Re: OT: Need Advice on New TV
Sounds like Vizio is doing something right. I also have a 32" Vizio in the bedroom. Good picture and sound quality is OK. We have a Blue Ray DVD player connected to the living-room TV which is a Hitachi Plasma that's at least 8 years old and working great. It was expensive at the time but prices hav...

Re: Anyone had tonsils out?
I had my tonsils removed when I was a kid. 50 or so years ago. If there aren't other reasons to remove them then I would not have them removed just because of apnea. Way too many folks without tonsils that still have apnea to convince me. Apnea increases your risk of complications with any general a...

Pop the card out and look for the lock on the side of the card. One question on my machine screen it says sim card locked is this where it should be?
Move it to unlock and put it back into the machine.
All the old data will be written onto the card.

Sleepyhead problem
I sent my memory card in for compliance verification. All for the usage was good. Around 8 to 10 hours a day every day for 31 days. I put in another memory card. Now all my usage data before I sent the card in is way out of whack. One day shows 23.5 hours and a lot of them show 20 or more. The last ...

OK I had to go look.chunkyfrog wrote:Show this bozo a picture of the hot babe in the Sleepweaver ad.
There is a reason why this mask has been promoted to truckers.
She is a babe but I suspect it's a CG image.
I would need to see her nekid, ie no mask.

Re: CPAP and hospitals.....comment
I work in a hospital and one of my jobs is to inspect electrical equipment. The inspection is for electrical safety only. The RT does the inspection for proper function. Both inspections take less than 2 minutes. I would dispute a $700 charge or any charge for that matter. That said we have a new po...

Sleepyhead question
I have had my new S9 Autoset for 3 nights and I love it. Compared to my old Remstar pro it is amazing. My AHI was 3.8, .9 and last night was 1.2 so it is obviously doing it's job. Without APAP I was 83. I have looked at the data on sleepyhead but like most new users I'm not sure what it all means. I...
