Re: Philips Respironics Recall
Thanks for the idea of checking craigslist. Surprised to find one source - in Houston, Tx - the page is very detailed, linked to a website, https://www.theperfectcpap.com/. Still a bit unsure buying from a source that is not "established?" medical source. Our provider is Monitor Medical currently.

Re: Philips Respironics Recall
I have been using my Dream Station until I learned about the recall. Then I registered on the Philips Respironics website and was informed on that website that my CPAP was in the recall. I was given a confirmation number but have not heard since. The first Philips website said to continue using your...

Philips Respironics Recall
Since Philips Respironics says on their website not to use your CPAP if it is being recalled, which my Dream Station is being recalled, what are users of the recall machines doing in place, i.e., not much choice but go without a CPAP?

Re: Dr Rx - Changed from CPAP to BIPAP w/o exam new study
Thanks for your reply. From the beginning of using first the machine as a BiPAP in 2012, I was told the settings should be changed only in consultation with the doctor, i.e. the doctor makes the decision on the settings based on what he finds in hearing from the patient, other observations and when ...

Dr Rx - Changed from CPAP to BIPAP w/o exam new study
In the process of getting new supplies, I also requested a new machine since I have been using a Respironics BiPAP, meeting the Medicare requirements since June 2012 (over 5 years). All is well, so far, the new BiPAP was approved (Doctor issued a Rx) by Medicare and I received my new DreamStations B...

Getting supplies is a chore
Need supplies, and actually a new machine because I have had this one since June 2012. Supplier (not mentioning name at this time) has advised they have sent multiple requests for my prescription from my sleep study/CPAP doctor. Doctor's office claims they have not received the request. Supplier say...

Deviated Septum Surgery-"Nose Job"
After 3 months of headaches, it appears the doctors have zeroed in on the source, i.e. my left nostril has a severe deviated septum blocking adequate breathing and drainage. I don't want to spend much time on this part of my question which has to do how to work through having my nose all stopped up ...

Re: How to read SD Card on Phillips Respironics Bipap Pro 8
There are a lot of numbers on the bottom of the machine. The SD Card would need to be put in a card reader of some kind but I don't have a clue what program would be needed to read the card.

How to read SD Card on Phillips Respironics Bipap Pro 8
I have a Philips Respironics Bipap Pro 8 System One. Is there a way I can read the SD card, i.e. see or get a report from the machine?

Changing from Bi-Pap to C-Pap with lower pressure
In June 2012, I got my first sleep apnea machine, Phillips Respironics Pro Bi-Flex System One. In August of this year, my mask broke-had to see the doctor to get a Rx in order to get a new mask. The doctor said the pressure on my Respironics was too high in light of my losing weight. The doctor issu...

Re: Weekly update + Q: Non-CPAP spouses & Impact of Obamacare
Agree re: need for CPAP not tied to weight. Even when I reach my weight goal, I will have my BiPAP for many years or even forever even if only just because I enjoy it so much. Thanks for all the constructive suggestions re: mouth breathing solutions. I am going to try the chin strap for a while when...
