Try this... if you've had CPR and/or Rescue Breathing, they teach you to push the forehead back (used to be, "tilt the head back.") to open up the airway for mouth-to-mouth breathing. I can't get a good yawn in with the mask on. I'm switching to the nasal pillow/prong but, I don't know if that will help. What do you think about adding a petcock (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petcock) valve to turn turn off the airflow so you can yawn? It could be spring loaded so it opens when you...

I find a good yawn works well. If you have persistent ear pain...need to have it checked out. Yawning? I haven't been able to get a good yawn in with the mask on ever since I started PAPing on 9/23/2010--almost 18 months ago. Whenever I try to yawn with the mask on, I get a belly full of air. *sigh...
