Re: resmed S-9 info display question
Is your machine set to the correct time? It resets the data at noon.

Help me find some info
I had a link to someone who did a review on cpap machines. It listed the machines by prefered, good or machines to avoid. I found out this morning that I have a coworker who was diagnosed with SA and the DME is coming over to set him up this afternoon. Already the DME is telling lies. (Suprise supri...

Re: Poll: Do you use your mask as it came or with modifications
I use mine as it came. I tried a Padacheek and it made things worse for me. Tweaking the mask straps until I got the best fit worked for me

Re: Service Dogs for Sleep Apnea
Pepperchris4340 I see you've met BlackSpinner. She believes everyone with sleep apnea should have their drivers license revoked as we are all child killers. Forget the fact that a lot of sleep apnea sufferers are fully functional people [like myself] who don't have problems staying awake or paying a...

Re: Catching up on sleep deficit
It took me about a month. The first several weeks my pressure was too low and my AHI was in the high teens. Now with my pressure higher my AHI is 2 to 3. I'm waking up refreashed early in the morning. I think the worst thing I tried to do was stay in bed until my normal wake time. Once awake and it'...

Re: Does co-sleeping protect kids from obesity?
I think that parents need to be the adults in their relationship with thier children. Parents need to start good bedtime habits early on in their childs life by having them sleep in their own beds and have a regular routine. Parents who co-sleep are lazy. As far as protecting kids from obesity - sto...

I used to nap every afternoon. Sometimes several times a day. Since getting on cpap therapy a month ago I haven't needed to nap.

Is your machine set higher than your titration pressure?
I was titrated at 11 but was having regular nights of AHI in the high teens. Reducing the EPR from 3 to 0 dropped the AHI into the low teens but that is too high for my liking. My pressure was bumped up to 13 with EPR at 3 by the Doc and that dropped my AHI to the high single digits. I reduced the E...

Re: OSA and the DMV
So you think it is a good idea for some sleepy dude with 2 tons of steal to drive into a school bus at 50 mph? To protect his privacy while he kills people? It's obvious you cannot discuss this topic in a rational manner. I guess if you had your way every medical record would be public knowledge. A...

Re: OSA and the DMV
Saw this in an article on the subject... "Patients diagnosed with sleep apnea syndrome are 2 to 6 times as likely than healthy control subjects to be involved in a MVA." http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1495589/ Mythbusters did an episode on driving sleep deprived. It was horrifying the ...

Re: Climateline tubing
The climateline tube has the option to apply some heat to control rainout. The tubing does not have an airconditioner option. You cannot make the air cooler than the surrounding temp.
