Re: Kept the cats out
Last night we kept the bedroom door closed to our two cats and it was wonderful. No cats behind by lower back or behind my knees. No cats walking around the pillows and stepping on my hair. No cat disagreements. No burrowing under the covers. I was really amazed and thought that they would have cla...

Does it bother you?retrodave15 wrote:In the process of getting my neck fixed, I had to undergo an EMG, wich also showed I have Cubital Tunnel Syndrome in my elbow. It is aggravated by sleeping with a bent elbow. Has anyone tried one of the night splints or any other therapy to help this out?

Re: Moving from CPAP to APAP machine
I recently made this change and have had the complete opposite effect. I was set for a pressure of 5 on CPAP, but would have horrible nights. My AHI would never get above 7, but I would hover around 5 and felt exhausted continually. I switched insurance and had to send the CPAP back, and asked my sl...

Re: Abnormally High Pressure on APAP with no LL
Thanks for the replies. Still locked down with the DME's "Loaner" machine so hesitant to get into the clinical menus to adjust data without their doing as this was already pointed out to me as a "No No". Once the insurance kicks in (Today's correspondence) indicates it will likely, then I will get ...

Re: Any clue why I didn't want to get up this morning?
[I do have a psychiatrist. I'm also on an SSRI (Generic Lexapro) - but it in itself doesn't conquer the anxiety as did any others in the past: Prozac, Effexor, Celexa, Cymbalta, ect... and the thought of using "tricyclics" scares the shit right out of me because of all the side effects I've oft rea...

Re: Any clue why I didn't want to get up this morning?
Once again, you probably feel this way from both the benzodiazepines and the poor sleep structure. That's a pretty generous dose of Klonopin, and though being on it for a long period may increase your tolerance, it may still have pretty significant side effects. It's a push-pull on taming the sympt...

Re: Any clue why I didn't want to get up this morning?
Thanks Todzo and have a wonderful Bike ride. 3mg of Clonazepam a day for me. Anxiety pretty well in check but sleep certainly seems a bit off to say the least. I mean, I can sleep 7 hours/ 9hours/ 12hours ... and it all feels the same. I feel like I slept but also feel like I would like to lay in b...

Re: Provigil
Competition. It just went generic and after the patent expires, one generic producer gets licensed to provide its version for a certain period of time, after which other companies can start producing it. Currently Mylan and Teva are producing modafinil.

Re: Any clue why I didn't want to get up this morning?
I know and completely understand what you're saying. My problem is I'm dependent on the benzo's to control my anxiety. I have yet to find an alternative to that as of yet and I've tried, even withdrawing from xanax over a 30 day period on my own last year which was a disaster. Sent me straight for ...

Re: Any clue why I didn't want to get up this morning?
Thanks again for the responses. Makes sense, especially the change of seasons and lack of exercise. Could be the benzo's but I've been on them for quite awhile in one form or another. Lately I've seemed to been able to tweak my alarm clocks a little better to wake me up in time plus my kitten/cat h...

Wait a few months and the generic price should come down considerably.

Re: Lots of data - could use some help
Thanks for your input and perspective. I get a lot of variance despite sticking with a pressure for several weeks. I'm considering the bump up to six, but will ride out the 5.0 for a few more days. Thanks.

Re: HELP no Deep sleep Per Zeo
The 25 minutes the OP describes is quite low. At the same time, I am skeptical of the ability of the Zeo to detect REM sleep (which often results in an increase in alpha over the posterior part of the brain). I'm curious if the receiver depends on the electrical activity from the eye movements to me...

Lots of data - could use some help
I posted a while back about some difficulties I was having, and need some further input. I was diagnosed with OSA in 2004. I currently use a REMStar Pro with C-flex+. My PSG from 3/2010 showed an AHI of 0.6, but an RDI of 9.6. I subsequently had a titration study that resulted in a Rx of 5.0 cm H20 ...

Re: AHI elevating - food for thought
Thanks everyone. I was considering both. I'm going to go up on the pressure, but the humidifier setting I may try in a few days as it's so dry up here. I'm sure by the time I'll figure it out I'll be back to a normal elevation and environment. Thanks again.
