Re: Oscar vs SleepHQ
The Magic Uploader is not going to be cheap. At a cost of about $30 for the Wifi SD Card, $40 for the Raspberry Pi, more from Australian based Nick???, and then some kind of markup. It's an expensive solution. The form factor on the video looks more like a Raspberry Pi Zero, maybe a Zero W ($10) or...

Re: Sticky: Phillips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
9 square inches by 1/8 inch deep is about 1 cubic inch of foam. Chemical-wise, that's nothing. Even a small female with a low respiratory rate inhales in excess of 500 gallons of air per night. Any off-gassing is going to be so highly diluted there is no danger. Respironics has made an overreaction...

Re: ResMed AirFit N30 Nasal CPAP Mask
Well crap...even the P10 which has over 1200 reviews is limited but not so much...there's a link to show "14 more reviews" after the 1st page of 6 reviews and then once you click on that link you don't get a link for anymore reviews. This looks like a layout problem on the cpap.com web site. The in...

Re: Sticky: Phillips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
The expense could wipe out the cpap division. This is unlikely. Philips has set aside 500 million euros for the recall, which is a lot to be sure, but they have the resources to withstand it. Looking at their latest annual SEC filing , the business unit containing Respironics recorded 708 million e...

Re: Sticky: Phillips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
The representative told me that they didn't know when we'd get the emails in response to registering our units, and they didn't know anything about how the recall will work, how long it would take, or when they'd even start taking the machines for repair/replacement. The CEO is quoted as saying the...

Re: Leaks
I just switched to the Aloha. I've found that the vent can make a fair bit of noise and it's easy to confuse it with a leak. If you route the hose over your head then the vent will point downwards, and if that's close to anything - pillow, sheet, you, etc. - it makes noise. You could try a different...

Dropping auto pressure with breathing on PRS1
I have a PRS1 Auto set at 6-10. Sometimes when I wake up at night or early morning I'd like to be able to reset the pressure to make it a little quieter and have less venting air without having to reach for the ramp button. It seems like it must be possible to breathe in a manner to convince the mac...
