MASK/HOSE LIFE
How can I tell if a mask or hose needs changing? I have been using a couple of hoses and an Opus that I have used for about two years and they seem to be effective. Any problems with using them for long periods?

CPAP BATTERY
I purchased a battery to power my CPAP machine when I was in Portugal last month but ran into problems when I had to recharge it: it killed the converter, probably because I had to run the converter for several consecutive hours. Does anyone know of a converter that can recharge the battery without ...

TRANSCEND CPAP MACHINE
I am considering a battery-operated CPAP machine because on a recent European trip, my ResMed died while on a converter. Anyone familiar with the Transcend or something similar?

MASK LIFE
Other than leaks, are there any indications that a mask, hose, or pillow has died? I have been told that life expectancy is 3-6 months, but mine are well into their second year and seem fine. Also, while I clean them frequently with Ivory soap/warm water, I have noticed a certain mustiness coming th...

Re: MASK LIFE
THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION; I GUESS THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT 1) MASKS LAST A LOT LONGER THAN THE MANUFACTURER SAYS AND 2) MASK LIFE VARIES FROM PERSON TO PERSON. EITHER WAY, IT IS NICE TO KNOW THAT I DON'T HAVE TO REPLACE MY MASKS SEVERAL TIMES A YEAR! THANKS AGAIN.

MASK LIFE
I have been told that the life of a mask is about 3-6 months, but I have been using mine for more than a year and there seems to be no problem. If it is not leaking, are there any other signs of deterioration? (i.e., Does the silicon break down?) or can I continue using the mask until it starts to l...

BATTERY CPAP
I am looking for a battery-powered CPAP machine. The only one I know of is called "Transcend." Does anyone know about this one or any other type? I do not want to use a converter because the last time I did that the machine died.

TO DISTILL OR NOT TO DISTILL
I am in an area that apparently has no distilled water to put into my System One humidifier. Is there any harm in using bottled water instead for a few days? Apparently, it is either that or no humidifier, which my sinuses are already.
