Re: young new user-wishes to hear tips from experts
Thank you! I seemed to get a very negative response when I first mentioned surgery. I thought it was a good idea because of maybe and the tonsils and adenoids were causing issues with other things anyway. I can already breathe a little better through my nose already so I hope for good things to come.

Re: young new user-wishes to hear tips from experts
Hi I haven't check in in a while. I had my tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy last Wednesday. I'm pretty much back to normal but super sore in my jaw and ears. My doctor told me not to use my cpap until I'm fully recovered so that I don't irritate the surgery site. I haven't been sleeping well at all I...

Re: sore on nose
Thanks everyone. The sore healed up and I adjusted my straps better, so that seemed to work pretty well so far. Thank you anyways Becky!

sore on nose
Hi everyone. I just woke up a couple mornings ago with a sore on the base of my nose. I was just curious as to whether anyone else has had this problem and whether or not anyone has a solution to it. I think its just really dry, but my mask also rests there sometimes if I move a certain way.

Re: young new user-wishes to hear tips from experts
I had to take my machine with me to a couple places and everything went without a hitch. I've had one problem though. I woke up one morning and had a sore under my nose where my upper lip connects to my nose. Has anyone else had this problem?

Re: Skipping nights
Only issue I had was the machine was sitting on the bedside table and people were putting drinks near it. When I had the sleepover, I slept on the floor and I just put the machine under a table so noone could step on it.

Re: Skipping nights
My trip went great. Except I woke up with the hose wrapped around my head and neck. That was the first time it happened. I ended up having a sleepover too and that went great also. I woke up with a sore on my nose though, right where my upper lip connects to my nose.

Re: Skipping nights
I definitely won't be skipping nights in my own bed. I'm still getting used to it, bu it's getting better each night. I'm going to Hershey park Friday and staying over night for girl scouts. It'll be my first outing with other people that aren't my mom to have to sleep with the machine in the room. ...

Re: Skipping nights
I kind of figured that would be the answer. I had to skip last night because the parents of the kids I was. Any sitting didn't get home until late and I just slept there. In the future though, I'll try my best not to skip.

Skipping nights
Hi, I'm a 16 year old girl and it's summer time. I was womdering if it was ok to skip a night here or there if I'm sleeping over somewhere other than my house. I don't want to have to carry my machine around with me everywhere I go just in case I'm invited to sleep over somewhere. I dont mean to sou...

Re: young new user-wishes to hear tips from experts
Hi everyone! Last night was much better. I figured out if I sleep on my back, which I don't normally do, was much more comfortable and I could sleep a lot more comfortable than I had the night before. Thanks everyone!

Re: young new user-wishes to hear tips from experts
Last night wasn't that great unfortunately. I wasn't one of the lucky few to have instant results the first night. I didn't really expect it though so I wasn't suprised at all. I woke up continuously through the night because I was uncomfortable and ended up taking the mask off at 3 in the morning. ...

Re: young new user-wishes to hear tips from experts
I didn't see alot of the posts there. We did alot of research and I've had on and off problems for the past couple years with my tonsils. The left one has been enlarged for about two years and it causes a lot of ear problems. I also have a slightly deviated septum, but he said its so slight that he'...

Re: young new user-wishes to hear tips from experts
He usually does surgeries for sleep apnea. The tonsillectomy is basically the first phase of a series of surgeries that might have to happen. After this surgery, I have to go for a post op sleep study and if I still have the apnea, then he's doing something called a UPPP. He said normally, for my ca...
