How to back up Sleepy Head data

Hello all, I'm still lurking around the board here just not posting as much. CPAP is going well; though I had to get rid of my double pillows as I have been having neck pain but anyway. Is there anyway to back up the Sleepy Head data? I want to be able to back it up in case my laptop crashes or some...

Re: Quattro FX - what is the right fit?

I've tried both the Quattro FX and Mirage Quattro and I went back to the Quattro FX. I made some mask liners and use those. I rarely sleep on my side; mostly on my back but it stays in place pretty good. My mask is a Small. The mask still rides up sometimes but I couldn't stand the Mirage Quattro it...

Re: Normal Insurance Procedure?

Ah okay. Well they have been billing the insurance the whole time and the insurance has been paying. But I think they changed some rules in October so that's probably it. I know I've done everything I was suppose to so I hope the DME did their job. We'll find out I guess.

Normal Insurance Procedure?

I just received a letter from the BCBS this week and they are requesting some info from my DME. Its for determining my eligibilty for benefits. They need documentation of medical necessity, office notes, sleep study results, compliance data, and copy of the prescription for the cpap. Now is this nor...

Leak question

Alright I'm still kind of new to Sleepyhead and the whole leak thing. I'm looking at my data from the past couple of nights and I switch to the overview look and I have no data in the leak column. I have info in the Total leak but not in the leaks? Is that normal? Also one more question. On say 11/8...

Re: Insurance "watching" xPAP users

I know in Kentucky at least when my Mom went to try and Medicaid she didn't qualify because she owns a house that is probably only worth about $60,000 and some land her father left to her and her siblings. She gets $683 in SSI. She didn't qualify so I guess for Kentucky the rules are different.

Re: Blue Cross -- Big Blue Problem

Yeah my BC/BS doesn't have anything about Managing Sleep Apnea in my booklet. And now its possible my company might be switching to another insurance company called Bluegrass Family Health so who knows what the coverage would be like then. Of course the new insurance wouldn't pay anything at all on ...

Re: What does your insurance cover?

I had to pay for the humidifer. BCBS pays 80% I think at least. I can find no replacement schedule anywhere for my plan. So I haven't had anything replaced since May. It's either 10 or 13 month rental then I own my machine. BCBS didn't use to check for anything but starting in October they will and ...

Re: Medicare replacement schedule

BCBS has no replacement schedule that I can find even in my coverage docs. It just says when replaced is needed. Now those replacement parts have to be pre-authorized starting in October.

Re: Standby generators: where to locate

Thanks for the link to the stand by units. It's something I need to look into myself. I've been thinking about these things for this winter. I need something to run my cpap in case of power failure.

Re: Half of women may have OSA

My AHI was 8. But I had more instances of RERA. the DME called me since she had serviced one of the ladies that I work with and said since your AHI was over 5 insurance said you have apnea. When I went back to my PCP later the report suggested surgery or an oral device. But I do very well with the c...

Re: Insurance "watching" xPAP users

Basically medical care is going to do back to what it was during the Great Depression Era, If you are poor you don't get medical care. I see it right now if you own any land you can't get Medicade. So I know people who own their own home but only draw $600 in Social Security a month-age is over 70. ...

Re: Insurance "watching" xPAP users

Yeah cervial instead of Ovarian. I should type when I'm more awake apparently. But I think we're still going to see limits on coverage the farther along we go.
