is my sdcard pooched?
So I went in today for a followup and was told to bring my machine in with me. Always the good sailor, I followed orders and allowed them to pull my sdcard. But now I seem to have a problem. Every time I have ever plugged my machine in I have gottent the message: "SDCARD Inserted, Prescription Accep...

Re: Differentiating between obstructive and central apnea events
Maybe it's a fine point, but contrary to the hype from ResMed's marketing department, all the S9 series machines can really do is to infer from the data that a central has occurred. Without abdominal belts or an EMG lead connected, centrals can't be identified with certainty. They can only be infer...

Re: I cannot go to sleep with a CPAP mask.
I would suggest a chin strap to deal with the mouth breathing issue and nasal pillows to deal with the claustrophobia. I had many of the same problems you describe but this combination has worked wonderfully for me. You can check out one of the many varieties of nasal pillow masks by clicking the li...

Backing up my SD Card, A few questions
After reading of the problems that some folks here are having/have had with corrupt data on their SD Cards, I would like to avoid the same. The question though arises when I consider my prescription. When I first insert the SD card into the machine, I get a brief message of "reading data from card" ...

Re: Supreme Court and the Individual Mandate
The whole discussion is moot, though; isn't it? After all, isn't the world ending on 12/21 of this year? The world is NOT ending. Modern industrial civilization is ending. It's been in decline for about a decade now. The actual causes were enhanced about [. . . and on, and on, and on.] This was a j...

Re: Supreme Court and the Individual Mandate
I am an independent! I find it interesting that everyone who is telling be how bad Obamacare has some sort of Govt. Healthcare. They either have medicare, or are in congress and part of the Federal Employees group, or are retired Military with Tricare. This is just an observation. Think about it. I...

Re: Supreme Court and the Individual Mandate
The "duty" of the Supreme Court is to uphold the Constitution -- period. That fact seems lost these days. The same goes for Congress and the POTUS. But it's only lost when the decision is one with which you don't agree. It's the same with practically every decision the Supreme Court makes. Some str...

The "duty" of the Supreme Court is to uphold the Constitution -- period. Nothing else. This is an oversimplification. Read on. Re: Supreme Court and the Individual Mandate
I did read the ruling all 100+ pages including syllabus and dissents. Now I don't claim to be a constitutional scholar by any stretch of the imagination but I did take several constitutional law classes in college (double major in Public Affairs and Criminology) and I think I have a good grasp of t...

Re: Supreme Court and the Individual Mandate
So to simplify this. Obama lied and you're okay with it. Is that about right? And Obama lied how, exactly? One Justice, over whom he, i.e., the President, has no control decided to say that the mandate was kind of sort of like a tax and that makes Obama a liar? No, I don't think so. But if you feel...

Re: Supreme Court and the Individual Mandate
Furthermore our government already spends more of your tax dollars PER PERSON on medical care than any of the 50+ countries that have successful socialized medicine programs. And despite this FACT, we still have MILLIONS of uninsured people with no access to medical care. Yes but ObamaCare was sold...

Re: Supreme Court and the Individual Mandate
Sorry if this has been answered but I have a question. Obama said this was NOT a tax and it will lower healthcare cost. That's how he sold the bill. Well since, the Court ruled it is a tax. (no question here) How is Obamacare going to lower the cost of healthcare? Your question begs another. How is...
