New unit blasting

I am a 5 year user and love my Respironics unit. no issues with it but wanted to get new unit under 18 insurance year. I picked it up and when I tried it the pressure was crazy. really not able to tolerate it. I went easily into the first one as a new user and just don't get the difference. curious ...

Re: 10 days & I can't keep the mask on all night :(

Keep at it. Little by little you will get there. It took me and many others a few weeks to come to a full night with it. Once you get there it will feel very natural to don the mask. I used a ear pug with some music the first weeks to get to the point where I was relaxed. Little steps will get you t...

Hissing mask issues

I use a quarto M mask and since May it has been fine until three weeks ago. I have had leaks around the seal that has been waking me up. I have replaced the liner , clean it daily but still have the leaking. I have taken to cranking the mask down to try and solve it. I wonder if there is a quatro L ...

Re: I thought i was okay with this diagnosis and i am just NOT!

Like most I felt bad for myself when I was diagnosed in may. I bemoaned the fact that I would be locked to this mask. I had severe claustrophobia but took the advice on this site and now I grab my mask and know the fatigue I had for years will be no more. I am obese and have realized that all the gu...

Mask trouble

I am two months on and have been fine with minimal leaks. All of the sudden I am waking with huge leaks around my mask. I ordered a new liner but still am getting the leaks. I have tightened down the straps but still leaking. It almost feels like my pressure has gone up but it seems fine on the info...

Re: Recently diagnosed

I struggledcwith the mask for while but got great support from this site. It is a change in your life fr the better. Some night when I feel tired of sleeping with the mas...

60 days no leaks, now leaking any ideas?

I have been on nose and mouth mask (repironics M) and have basically had little to no leaking. All the sudden the last three nights it is leaking like crazy and no matter what I do it goes on. Does the soft rim on the mask get worn and lose strength? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Newbie – received report today from MD on sleep apnea test

I think you will find your energy will go up once you get some good hose time. I found if I got 4-5hrs on the hose my energy improved greatly through the day. The tough part was adaptiNg to the mask but it comes in time.read the thread on " change " as it will help. Just keep posting your questions ...

Re: Going forward

Maybe I am saying the wrong machine. I do have a small card which I recently sent to the rental company ad they sent it back to me. I guess I will check with them as to a report from it. Are there people out there sleeping a full 8 hours on the hose? Tks

Re: WOW - It's A MIRACLE!!

Great for you. I felt much the same the first three or four days. On day 8 and still feel better. I find that diet is a big factor. Eat to much to late and my sleep stinks. Sleeping on my side also seems to give me angst and less good hose sleep. Keep at it.

Re: Difficulty wearing mask.

I am on day 7 and days 1&2 I struggled mightily with wearing the mask. One thing that helped was reading the "change" article found in the announcement section. When I finally got 4 hours of sleep on day 3 I could really feel the difference. My energy level zoomed. The next night I still hated the m...
