Provent
Has anyone used those nose patches by Provent? They are an alternative to the cpap. My doctor says they are not the gold standard (cpap), but better than nothing. I have deviated septum so they don't work well for me.

Re: Swift LT issues/questions
Ambien can give you serious amnesia. I lost an entire morning one time when I was using Ambien. All in all, sleep meds are awful. They are addictive and when you stop you get rebound insomnia.

Re: Mirage Quattro
I had a horrible night last night. I slept may three hours. The longest I slept was about an hour then I awoke and listened to audio book. Today I will not sleep because I took Adderall. Now I have such disordered sleep my shrink says it is narcolepsy, but I think it is the apnea. I stopped sleeping...

Re: Medical insurance suggestions?
I have medicare primary and Blue Cross secondary. I don't pay a dime for sleep studies, DME or doctors. I pay a lot because secondary is primary for my wife. For vets the VA will cover cost of cpap and studies if you are at least 50%. For 100% vets spouses get medical coverage under ChampVA which is...

Re: (SOLVED!) Hmmm...Don't Care for This
My cpap was broken so I was snoring also. There was almost no pressure. This is a while ago. I got a new machine and can't stand the pressure now with all leaks and sore nose and face.

Re: Best Mask for Resmed or Respironics
Thanks, I will do that! I thought between the doctor, lab and DME I would just have to get used to a mask. I did not know the pain and frustration I would face. Doc tells me I will die or have a stroke if I don't control apnea and then just tells me to find a mask that fits.

Re: Mojo by sleepnet
Yes, I have medicare and blue cross. I know DME does not pay for my mask. If mojo is a poor mask what do you recommend as a standard mask medicare and BC/BS will pay for? I am new at this and am unsuccessful. I am frustrated and may use my cpap as a doorstop as 50% of others eventually do according ...

Re: Mirage Quattro
I have gotten so desparate I changed settings on the air pressure on my machine so I could try and tolerate at least some use from my mask. I learned how to get into my Bi-pap program and change things. I even got a dental device because I am sick of fart noises, leakage, pain and suffering with my ...

Mojo by sleepnet
Has anyone used the mask by Sleepnet called the Mojo? It has great looking, feeling gel. I don't think many DME's will pay for it however. Has anyone heard of Medicor in Florida? That is the DME that I use.

Best Mask for Resmed or Respironics
I need a new full face mask and my supplier only has the big market masks. I have tried many masks. Is there some concensus on which are a few of the better and proven masks out there. I even tried a total face mask which is like wearing a bowl on your face. I looked at the Mojo by sleepnet but my s...

Stormy
I had a machine for months that was not even blowing. I though it was great until I realized I was snoring. I thought I had finally found a machine and mask that worked and did not leak much or blow like a horn. I got a new machine and the hurricane started again.

Re: bi-pap trouble
Stormy I don't breath well through my nose especially at night. I have deviated septum and other problems with my nose. This is why I got full face mask. I wore a different old mask last night and it honked like a flock of geese. I am going to order a new one from provider. I cannot tolerated having...

Re: Nose surgery
Thanks for all the replies. The nose pillow looks so easy to use compared to my full face mask. If I could breath well through my nose maybe I could use one of those nose pillows. I really have had a miserable time getting consistent help and direction from my doctor. He is a top sleep doctor but pr...
