Re: Humidifier Water - Do You Dump Remaining Each Morning?

I will fill to the second line more or less as the weather goes. Just have a little left in the morning,an ounce or less. I don't dump it. I will refill it at bed time. I try to remember to wash it every other week with everything else. This has been working well for me. Note; When we travel I will ...

Re: Dry eye, CPAP, and Speedo swim goggles

I long time ago when I started working a very smart man told me to never cut a hole larger than what I couldn't weld back shut, and I would do just fine. I would try and patch the hole. If your mask is leaking causing the issue why not try and stop the leak as well. Have you tried to make a liner ou...

Re: Great video on making a homemake chin strap by a sleep doc

I need to support my cheeks. I keep my cheeks from puffing out and my lips will stay sealed. I support my chin somewhat as well, but keeping my cheeks supported is key. Everyone is different. Find what works for you and go with it.

Re: Lost Power - The Plan Worked

I like it when a plan comes together. Do you remember "The A Team" ? Our power went out the other day, it flickered a couple of times then after about five or ten seconds it came back on. I'm ready if and when we loose power with a small generator. The news reported twenty seven thousand plus were ...

Re: RemZZZs Users

Dry works for me when I use them with my full face mask. I center it on my mask and then carefully place it in position on my face. I used a mirror at first to help in figuring it out. Sometimes a little tug here and there after its on, but dry is good to go for me.

Re: CPAP stand 12"w x 12"d - any ideas

My machine sits on a metal tray thats smaller than a tv tray and that sits on a bamboo style place mat that sits on my nightstand. You get a little heat from the machine and this seems to keep the heat away from the wood and it is pretty secure for the machine. You could try an organizer for his jun...

A hot cup of tea with teaspoon of lemon juice and a tablespoon of honey. Cover up with extra blankets in an easy chair and sweat it out. I'll add a touch of bourbon for myself.

Re: Do you still nap?

I haven't been able to nap for over forty years. Six or seven hours of sleep a nite, or day depending on shift. A burning candle at both ends so to speak. Always could wake up just before the alarm would go off and turn it off so as not to wake the wife. If I set it I would wake up. If I didn't set ...

Time to go see the Doc. I wonder if we took a poll ??? Bet you know the answer to that. It could be a combination of things causing your symptoms. Would quitting pap add or subtract from the possible list? Just thinking....

Re: Horrible First Night - Sleep Study on CPAP

It took two different sleep studies for me. The first one went so poorly that they could not get my pressure figured out, doubt I got any sleep at all. It wat a very bitter experience for me. It took me about three months to go back. My Dr. was not happy with me. Whatever, I wasn't happy with them e...

Re: Thinking about small generator for backup

Well this reply is about an inverter type generator. I have a Yamaha EF30iSEB. This is the 3000 watt model. It runs on gasoline, propane, or natural gas. At 1/4 load 5.82 amps it will run about 20 hours on a 20 pound BBQ type propane tank. This will run my furnace Propane stores very well. Check out...

Re: Electricity Bill

There are all kinds of calculators to be found on the net for figuring out stuff for the DIY people. Also web sites for suggestions for DIY issues. Here is one I found awhile back that has some information on several different topics. He might be a little out there for some, but he has information t...

Call the Doctor. It could be nothing, not, its something. Chest pains are not normal. You should find out what it is. Piece of mind if nothing else.
