Re: Itches

Take a chop stick, unsharpened pencil, etc. to bed with you. I slide it up under the mask making as little a leak as possible, get the itch taken care of and get out, easy peasy.

Changed from Quattro FX to Mirage Quattro

Hi All, Just finishing up my 3rd week on the hose and find myself looking forward to going to sleep every night and waking up feeling better. I thought I would share my experience with my first full face mask the Quattro FX. After reading a number of reviews I thought I would try this mask first as ...

Re: First Week on S9 What AHI Should I be Seeing?

My AHI has improved significantly! I had a AHI of 68 and it's in the 9ish area or lower now. The only thing I need to go back and look at is my AHI on my side was pretty low and I have been sleeping on my side most of these data days so I still have a good improvement but maybe a little less dramati...

Re: First Week on S9 What AHI Should I be Seeing?

OK I think I follow what you are saying. I have downloaded my data to sleepyhead and have started to look at it...it's a lot of data! So it sounds like I need to discount the apnea events just after I go to bed and just as I'm waking up as they will skew my numbers. So if I stick my finger under my ...

First Week on S9 What AHI Should I be Seeing?

Hi All! First week on my S9 Autoset has gone pretty well, have been averaging around 7 hours of sleep. I feel better, have more energy and am less sleepy at work. I did find that I need the face liner under my Quattro FX as my mask tends to leak and sounds like I'm passing gas without it, plus it se...

Finally I get my equipment....maybe?

Wow, it has been a real experience getting to this point!... I appreciate all the kind words from my first post. After I had my sleep study I was a little annoyed that I wouldn't get a chance to speak to my Doctor until a month after getting my eqiupment and based on my reading and the articles you ...

Re: Newbie Saying Hi and asking for a little help

Wow! I really appreciate this info.

The insurance write up was gold!
I'm checking my wifes insurance right now.

So as I understand the Resmed S9 will not be at gale force when I exhale? That would make a world of difference!

Re: Newbie Saying Hi and asking for a little help

I suspected that is the case Mr. Frog!

I just feel like I'm climbing a mountain trying to get a better grasp on all of this.

Newbie Saying Hi and asking for a little help

Hi Everyone! Little info. on me. I'm 47 (male) with 2 daughters 10 and 13, married nearly 23 years and have just completed my CPAP study. To be honest I'm a little freaked out, not so much as I need help to sleep but with all the different equipment, options, etc. The other thing that really bothere...
