Re: OSCAR data manipulation
Thanks, I will try that! Curiously, there were 2 occasions during the night when my machine turned itself off (which is a whole other issue I'll need to address, but for right now I'm ostriching that one), so I should be able to look at a good stretch of data before the first shutdown.

OSCAR data manipulation
Last night my overall AHI was 11.9. For most of the night things look pretty good, but round about 4:30 am started to devolve into an unholy mess. I honestly think it's not "good" data, but what I've heard you all refer to as sleep-wake junk. So, I'd like to find some way to eliminate that portion o...

Re: At-home study
How can they "not work"? they fit in the hose, and I'm still using them. They catch stuff that gets past the hypoallergenic filter. , This is a picture of the humidifier. Note the arrow pointing to the hose outlet. Now imagine a cube siting on top of this thing, within the recessed area. The bulbou...

Re: At-home study
Probably. I've always slept on my back, although I've been trying to sleep on my side just to change things up, since I've been having so much trouble lately. Even when I go to sleep on my side, though, I wake up on my back.

Re: At-home study
Another member uses Anti-Bacterial Filters to help with his allergies. Interesting - I have some that I bought a while back, but they didn't work with my old machine so I put them on a shelf and forgot about them. I'll have to dig them out and give them a try. Thanks so much for the suggestion!

Re: At-home study
Here's a screenshot of a miserable hour or so from a recent miserable night. I got up after about 3 hours asleep (which seems to be pretty common for me) to use the restroom, and this hour is after I wend back to bed until I woke up again for some other unknown reason. Admittedly, it's rather extrem...

Re: At-home study
Zyrtec and Claritin are very similar medications. Unless a doctor has approved this i recommend not taking them together. I remember reading that overdosing on this class of antihistamine can cause heart rhythm disturbances.
It was prescribed by my doctor. My allergies are insanely...

Free Pillows
I just bought a used machine, and it came with four of the Resmed Swift FX Pillows, size small, part number 61521 that I will not used. They are all brand new, still in their factory-sealed packages. If anyone will be able to make use of them, please let me know and I can send to you.

Re: At-home study
OK, after a lot of craigslist stalking and 350 mile road trip, I'm the proud new owner of a Resmed Aircurve 10V Auto with just under 500 hours on board! I was unable to figure out which of the settings on the old machine corresponded to which on the new, so I just crossed my fingers and made a wish ...

Thank you. I did that, but still couldn't figure it out from the results I got - that's why I thought I should consult the experts!

Auto BiPAP
Can anyone tell me if the Philips Respironics DreamStation BiPAP Pro Machine DSX600T11 is an auto BiPap? I'm looking at buying one from a private seller, and I don't trust him to be any more knowledgeable on this topic than I am!
Thanks in advance for the help!
