Re: S9 Auto Off doesn't seem to be working
I don't see anything that applies. I have the S9 Autoset, set for Auto with a pressure of 5 to 12. The SmartStart is On. I just happened to get a call from my supplier about an hour ago, and I asked about it. For what it's worth I was told that the newer versions don't turn off automatically anymor...

Re: S9 Auto Off doesn't seem to be working
Perhaps someone who does have a S9 can do a little experiment and actually time the amount of time it normally takes for the machine to turn off when the mask is removed. Experiment? Sure! OK, just tested on both the S9 Autoset and the S9 VPAP Auto. It took 7 seconds on both machines to stop when t...

Re: S9 Auto Off doesn't seem to be working
I've gone through the clinical manual, and can't find any reference to Leak Alert or anything like that. No Leak Alert setting unless you have an S9 VPAP model. On my VPAP Auto, if you turn on Leak Alert, it disables SmartStart. In other words you can't have both SmartStart (which includes the auto...

Have a look at Pugsy's SleepyHead tutorial - there is also a link in there to a glossary of terms.

Re: Dry mouth in a.m. with FFM
I don't totally understand how the humidity works on CPAP. Is it relative to the room humidity or actual humidity at the mask? The S9 (with Climateline Hose and H5i humidifier), and when climate control is left on Auto, maintains a relative humidity (RH) of 80% at the user-selected air temperature....

Re: Best nasal pillow for a BiPAP
I have pretty high pressures (frequently see at or above 20 for IPAP) and for me, nasal pillows seal better than any other type of mask. Less surface area to seal, combined with a good design. A lot of folks will tell you nasal pillows are a challenge at high pressures - my experience has been the o...

wonder if I had a narrow escape from a shady seller. hansong STL Mark has an outstanding reputation on this forum...and one that is well deserved. Re: S9 AutoSet Build Date
The H5i came with the "Standard Water Tub". That is how I know it now comes apart. The DME provider let me keep the new "Standard Water Tub" and the "Cleanable Water Tub" from my 1st H5i. So, now I have both. I specifically ordered ResMed model 36901, which is (according to ResMed), the H5i with th...
