My Doctor is the Problem, Not My DME re:Mask Return

I posted previously about my mask hurting my teeth. I found that if I tilted the arm it'd putting the pressure on the bridge of my nose rather than my teeth. But of course that made me feel like the mask was cutting my nose and cheeks. Of course it didn't really, but my nose and cheeks are red and b...

Re: Funny Snoring Stories

Snoring is a real problem for me - I have just learned that there is a brand new snoring clinic in Whitley Bay - The Snoring Centre - run by an ENT consultant - has anyone any info on results? I just misread your user name as "Nose Picker" When I was 5 or so my parents rented out a room to this guy...

Re: Can you Cheat a spleep apenia test?

They will be able to tell when you are actually asleep and just faking. Don't fake or wish for medical problems you don't have. If you're not eligible for lap band, it's probably because you don't need it. And if you think lap band is an easy way out, you are so, so wrong. Lap band is NOT easy. My m...

Re: an Aloha thank you

Maybe this is a stupid question, and I know people can order directly from the manufacturer (my wifes DME had to) but isn't Develbiss a distributor for this pillow? Why do no DME's have it? It's been out since march and you can't order it at your DME yet? They have to call the manufacturer and spec...

Re: Bed pillows for sleeping

I use the Serta Gel Foam Micro Cushion Pillow from Sam's. I obviously had the pillow before CPAP (since I am a new CPAP user) but it works well for me. I'm able to form the pillow the way I want it and it holds shape well for me. My only issue is learning to not turn my face more into the pillow, th...

Re: GoLife for her cut my face!

I know this post was old, but my DME claims to have this but not the Aloha or the Swift Fx in stock. Has this been redesigned since this happened? Did Philips respond to your complaint?

Re: an Aloha thank you

Thanks for your review! I called my DME about this one today and he claimed they didn't have it. If I don't like what they give me this time, I may just buy the Aloha myself as just from the pictures it looks very comfortable.

Re: Humidifier chambers to empty or not to empty

I've been using almost the whole chamber each night. And because I'm a good little newbie, I do a vinegar/water rinse daily. I figure I'll give it a more thorough scrub once a weekly as well. Using a large amount of water is an indication of LARGE leaks or mouth breathing. Be sure to check using so...

Re: New Mask Recommendation - Sore Teeth

Thanks for the replies to let me know I'm not alone or crazy! Last night I adjusted the arm to tilt it down, moving the pressure to the bridge of my nose and completely off of the lip. I tilted until it almost wasn't sealed on the lip. The good news is that my teeth did not hurt this morning, which ...

Re: New Mask Recommendation - Sore Teeth

Looking into the Aloha that headgear looks much more comfortable.

Ky insurance uses a company named Allmed who contracts a local company. Who do I call the local or AllMed?

Re: New Mask Recommendation - Sore Teeth

I leave the straps to what feels too loose but once the machine is on it expands to fill the gap blocking any leaks without feeling tight. If I loosen it more I have leaks...maybe not enough to hurt my therapy but enough to be annoying. I almost wonder if its just a sensitively that I will adjust to...

Re: New Mask Recommendation - Sore Teeth

I found a guide last night for fitting on the Resprionics website with pictures. I had my husband assist me in following each step. It was fitting pretty lightly but the part over my upper lip wouldn't get any looser. Still painful this morning. I'm just weird I guess!

New Mask Recommendation - Sore Teeth

I loosened my nasal mask as much as possible but am still having pain in my top front teeth. I know it's not my tongue because of my bite (top teeth over lap bottom). They start to hurt half way through the night and become unbearable around 4 am. Just four nights and I cant sleep without the mask b...
