Re: I am ashamed of my cpap?
This is definitely a great topic and I have felt embarrassed at times too. I am 35. However, my husband loves my cpap. It prevents snoring and he loves me and wants me to be healthy and live a long life. I have been more embarrassed on business trips when other young women make comments to me like "...

Side sleeping and pillows??
Thanks to so many of you who helped me figure out a plan to work through my sleep apnea. Currently I am on cpap but I recently found out that when sleeping on my side my sleep apnea is gone. So I have decided to try various pillows, etc to help me get on my side. I'm doing lots of research online an...

I think the conservative route (positional therapy) is a fine way to go, but I'd think about whether you want to go under anesthesia for one procedure and skip the other. Wow, again, thank you all for your eye-opening feedback. Sister, your post was very helpful. I think I have decided, after reading all of this, that I am going to try side sleeping through a number of methods. I also am going to just get my septum fixed to see if that helps my everyday breathing and...

Re: Considering "the works" surgery and would love advice
Wow these responses are so great thank you all so much for this feedback. I just put a call into my doctor to get further explanation on the UP3 part of the surgery. He never said he was doing a UP3 but said he would "shave it down" when doing the tonsillectomy. I'm not sure if that is the pharyngop...

Considering "the works" surgery and would love advice
Hello, I'm new to posting to these boards though I have been lurking for awhile. I would love your collective advice! I am a 35-year old woman with moderate obstructive sleep apnea that was discovered 2 years ago when I was pregnant. At the time, it was severe (a score of 92). Since pregnancy, I hav...
