Re: ARGH! Insurance!!

Hi - I'm in the boston area and my DME is homecarenewengland.com not sure if they service NH or are an approved provider for you, but i have no compliants about the cost of the supplies. I find them to be the same or slightly lower than the online prices. Granted, i know it depends on what they have...

Re: Mother of newly diagnosed teen - needs software advice

You can also think about trying nasal pillows. You have to replace the pillows every now and then to keep leaks at bay. Insurance covers the pillow replacements on a specific schedule. If you have been lurking you know everyone has a favorite (or 2). Here's one (of many) to try with 2 types of headg...

Re: Please compare the Aloha to the Swift LT for fit and comfort

Thanks ufo13. I saw your other post too so I'll try it out. Funny thing is I don't have the riding up problem on the FX for Her, I think they made it so the bottom rests lower on the back of your head. I was trying to figure out what to do about the Aloha to macgyver it to not slide. I'll try it out...

Re: Please compare the Aloha to the Swift LT for fit and comfort

I tried the Bella Loops partly because a few people on the site like them (pugsy comes to mind). Since I already had the hose and pillows, it was about 25 bucks for the loops from cpap.com (free shipping!) Of course when i saw what 25 bucks bought i was pretty skeptical, but what they heck. What I l...

Re: UNIVERSAL SLEEP APNEA PATIENT BILL OF RIGHTS

I have several nasal pillow masks...though none resemble my narrow nares. Am I the only one in the world with narrow nares? Bansko - you should see if you are within 30 days to return and demand a new machine. Threaten that you will call the ins company and ask if they are getting billed for a new m...

Re: Please compare the Aloha to the Swift LT for fit and comfort

I have the Aloha and I like it....agree with folks about where the pillow rests and that it is more stable...but I find the back strap on the headgear rides up during the night (i've tried tighter and looser). The top strap has 2 alternatives for placement which is nice. the back strap hits right at...

Re: Insurance reimbursement

cpap.com will give you a copy of a form, in insurance-ese, that you can submit to your insurance company. I think it's comes in a link in the email they send to you when shipping. This is different than your invoice as the insurance forms have the special medical codes. Whether or not you get reimbu...

Re: Aloha users

I got the same news that the shipment is coming. What was odd is they held up my entire order for the pillow. They could have sent the other stuff first. I found that odd abnd actually somewhat fustrating. Guess I'll know next time....

Re: First Follow-up w/doc @ 2 months

I have a funny (well maybe not that funny) story about 6.6. I knew what the answer would be before she wrote it. I started with a minimum of 6 and decided it was too low...still felt like I was suffocating. So I asked my PCP to write a prescription to change it to 6.5 (half way). well, I wanted to d...

Re: Aloha users

I've had the Aloha for a week and I really like it. I'm so happy to have found the forum...I would have never tried it and it's the first mask that let me pass the 6 hour mark (i was typically ripping off the Swift FX about 4 hours in.) I'll also try the o ring solution to resurrect the swift fx. Th...

Yes, it's the same. It looks like Dr. Park is speaking for an hour and you can call in if you want to hear it.

The link works for me. It's a 1 hour webinar/teleconference (bummer, I thought I could actually go in person). It looks like he just used the same link as before but the date is 6/11/12. You have to register your email address. I've posted the path below in case anyone is interested. http://doctorst...

Re: Annual Sleep Conference, Patient focused care

I wish! I work very close to there and they always have conventions. They are pretty strict with the name badge thing (the name badges are HUGE). I hope she loves her time in Boston and has a great time. Weather should be good. It's right in the Back Bay neighborhood so plenty of great places to eat...
