Re: Finishing up 2nd month and what I have learned
I don't "tape my mouth shut" and neither do the strips. the tape and the strips pull the lower lip and tissue up to support the mouth closed, just like a chin strap does. You can see pictures and video here: http://www.chinupstrip.com video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dy96tt480pE

Finishing up 2nd month and what I have learned
At the end of the month (which is in a couple of days) I will have been using my CPAP for 2 months. I have done a fair amount of adjusting and tweaking different things, the main one being the chin strap problem. I am using a nasal mask, which fits my face pretty well, but because of this, I need a ...

Re: How to View Pulse-Ox Data in SleepyHead
Got it! The USB cable won't read through a manifold. Plugged it directly in and it's working.

Re: integrate pulse ox/heart rate into Res Med/Sleepyhead
OK. I got the DL and got the software installed as far as there is now a table on my daily data sheet for pulse ox information. BUT, I can't figure out how to get the info from the pulse ox to the sleepyhead. I have the USB cable hooked up. The sleepyhead says it can't see any data from any of the d...

Re: Sleepyhead setting or program glitch?
Interesting. I had to go back and fix every single day's data for my machine. This happened when I got a new SD card. I wonder if every time I change SD cards, I am going to have to go fix all my data? I only have a little over a month of data right now, but if I had six months or a year's worth of ...

Re: Sleepyhead setting or program glitch?
OK, now I see it. It is showing a duplicate of the real data.
So I have to go to each day individually and turn the duplicate off?

Re: New member with question
CrazyCrow. it sounds like you are pretty maxed out on stress at the moment. First, you should know that a lot of your symptoms and diagnoses could be related to your sleep apnea, so if you will be able to tough it out and use the CPAP for a few months, you might find that a lot of your chronic pain ...

First month in the can.
The first month of CPAP is done. "In the can", as they say in the movie-business. I had some issues to deal with, the most vexing one being the chin-strap issue. I tried three or four different chin straps. I see the need for a new design for chin straps, and might have to come up with something. It...

Sleepyhead setting or program glitch?
Just looking at my overview for the past month, and although my average night's sleep is around 8 hours, it is showing usage of 16 hours per night for the past month. The only thing that has changed is that my old SD card went off to the RT for her analysis, and I put a new SD card in the machine. I...

Re: integrate pulse ox/heart rate into Res Med/Sleepyhead
I am using Sleepyhead software, and wanted to add a pulse ox to my reports. The software pop-up says that I need a CMS50x, I can find a CMS50DL or CMS50D, E and F and some other letters. Anybody know what the difference is between these (except for price) and which (less expensive one) will work wit...

Re: can you use cpap on a plane
Yes you can use your CPAP machine on a plane. There is a federal law that says you can use medical devices on a plane. I got a letter from my provider when I got my machine. I believe it cited this law: (Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Disability in Air Travel – May 13, 2009). Here is info from th...
