Re: Provigil shock!
PS I think I left out the part about where I learned the manufacturer, just before the patent expired, bought out all the cos that wanted to market the generic! Hence the generic was insane$$$ and the BRAND of NUVIGIL (similar drug) is now cheaper than generic Provigil...thus my insurance company wa...

Re: Provigil shock!
UPDATE I called Blue Cross to find out exactly why they won't cover this (as my doctor simultaneously was dictating an appeal letter for Provigil) BC said they WOULD Cover NUVIGIL (with a 50 dollar copay) IF my doctor goes through some type of formality and call in the new drug RX all on Monday now ...

Insonia as much the enemy
Im thinking the amount of sleep (as well as the quality) is an issue for me and of course how I feel. For those with the same issues, what was your solution? What did your docs reccomend? Is lunesta generic? I take ambien and its lost its punch My problem is falling asleep AND staying asleep thanks

blocking the exhale valve
I have had some symptoms lately and it's been an every other day deal. My graphs look fine. I can read them and its all good. I was going nuts wondering what the variable was that caused a bad day (fatigue) Vs a good one It also seemed to be affected by the last hours of sleeep if I could sneak an e...

Depression
HOW related IS apnea to depression?
I have had some probs with equipment lately and day drowsiness, but I also noted this HORRIBLE depression too!
Hopelessness, helplessness the whole bit!
It thankfully has abated
Did the apnea cause this?

Re: AHI wild swings!
My understanding is it wont go to higher if its not needed.
So the question of questions is..
Should I reduce the range and if so to between what and what? 8-14 ?
Would that stop the swings in AHI?

New to auto pap followup
So it's a week now on auto 8-20 (Vs cpap set to I feel great, the only day I had a return of symptoms was the day after I tried to use a new 8 foot hose! Lesson learned with apap on that one, despite reassurance from DME nback on 6' and doing great! My pressure goes to 9 a bit....... and on rare occ...
