Been away and my 3 years are up. What's new out there?
Hello folks. Long time no see. I was a forum regular a few years back and y'all were tremendous helping me adjust to being a hosehead. I'm approaching three years with my Philips System One, which means I'm eligible for a new CPAP. I have no general complaints with the system -- just wondering if th...

Do I Really Need To Replace Headgear On Swift FX?
I am 4-months plus into Swift FX and I just ordered a replacement through my insurance. I'm wondering if it is necessary to replace the headgear rather than just keep replacing the pillows. The headgear is so minimal -- other than maybe the cheek pads getting a little frayed, it seems exactly as new...

Is it odd that I can use S, M and L pillows on Swift FX
Is it unusual that I seem to have similar levels of comfort and therapy using any of the three sizes of Swift FX pillows? I rotate semi-regularly and don't see much of a difference in any of the metrics. Saves me some money, I guess, so not complaining. Just wondering if anyone has had the same expe...

Re: Pilairo!
Just to throw in another type of person that the Pilario would not be good for: If you sleep without a shirt on and with your hose going straight up over your head, the Pilario exhaust aims down right at your chest and is very difficult to tolerate. The exhaust on the Swift FX does now swivel with t...

CMS50-D Software Anyone?
Hello everyone. I just received a Contec CMS50-D pulse oximeter straight from the factory in China and, unfortunately it came with the software on a mini-CD. Unfortunate because I have a slot loading Imac and it won't accept a mini-CD. I plan to run it on a Windows virtual machine and I was wonderin...

Re: Opinions/Experience re the ZEO?
I'm amazed that so many of you have had good experiences with the Zeo. I tried it out for a week and it did not appear to have any ability to tell when I was awake or asleep. I would check the results of a night where I knew I had woken up a few times (even once to go the bathroom) and there was no ...

Re: My first week as a hosehead
Until I finally meet my sleep doctor, Google is better than no information. I understand that 40 to 60 percent of people with CPAP machines don't use them. So far, I've been using mine. We'll have to agree to disagree. Tinkering with your settings before you are halfway through your first week week...

Re: My first week as a hosehead
I know the temptation is significant, but you seem to be doing an awful lot of self-diagnosing for someone with absolutely no medical training and no history of being on CPAP. Are you sure this is wise? Google is not a doctor!

Re: Trick That Helped Improve My Nights DRAMATICALLY
I travel a lot and CozyHoze Boss™ is the best CPAP hose management solution on the market. Small enough to fit in your shirt pocket, it mounts to the wall using 3M Command Adhesive strips that are guaranteed not to damage surfaces and are removed with a simple tug on the tab. Or they can be used fo...

Should System One Humidifier Tank Be Emptying Each Night?
I have the PR System One S60 with humidifier and I am surprised at how little of the water in the humidifier gets used even with heat and humidifier settings turned all the way up. I can fill to the 25% line and still have some water left in the morning. Is that typical? I am usually pretty dry and ...

Is anyone monitoring me? One month in and not sure.
I was referred to my sleep study by an ENT, who is not a sleep expert. There was a doctor at the sleep center who measured my test results and prescribed CPAP. But now I am a month in and it seems like I am on my own (other than the fine people on this forum). I know I have to send my data in to the...

Re: Cannot solve daytime sleepyness
Could waking up twice a night to urinate be the problem? My dad had been a frequent pee-er hesitate to take medicine for it for years, but we finally convinced him to start and it has been a godsend for both sleeping through the night and for getting to our car-driving destinations on time! I think ...

Re: Provigil shock!
Drugs are expensive to develop and drugs that do not appeal to a broad number of patients (like a narcolepsy drug) have to be expensive or companies cannot recoup their investment. If you regulate how much they can charge, the companies will stop funding R&D for drugs that will not have broad appea...
