Yes, I considered that but the problem is if you set it to manual you can have rainout problems again. I may give it a go. The whole idea was that the heated hose would allow more humidity while preventing rainout. If your husband wants less humidity he may not need a fancy hose at all.

Do you get any error message if the wire breaks in the ClimateLine hose? Or is it just that you don't detect heat any more in the hose that's hard to detect heat from in the first place?

ClimateLine hose not heating
Hi, I have a new Resmed S9 with the heated ClimateLine hose. In my Clinician Settings, "Climate Ctrl" is set to Auto, but even when I turn the user setting for Climate Ctrl all the way up (86 degrees F) I get very little humidification. I can't feel any heat from the hose at all. Shouldn't the hose ...
