Re: Could anybody identify this mask from pics? (For friend)

In a way the issue is moot -- if the replacement parts are no longer available, it's effectively useless and must be replaced. Not to mention it looks absolutely hideous and is probably a biohazard. The mask looks + 20 years old and/or not a US model. There must be some identifying marks on the mas...

Re: Could anybody identify this mask from pics? (For friend)

Is the cushion all silicone, or is there a gel or foam insides? I would gladly answer that if I would know how to spot the difference (I am not technical, they more or less all feel the same to me). Is there any text printed or molded on the frame or headgear? No, nada, nothing, niente, njet. Not e...

Re: Could anybody identify this mask from pics? (For friend)

Thank you all for your replies and my apologies for not responding any sooner: I was in the hospital once again; the doctors tell me I am a scientific question mark (tell me about, my wife has told me that for years ).

Re: S9 Elite to Autoset: Resscan 'freaks out' suddenly?

I cheered to early, obviously. This morning, with nothing changed, it does the same it did before. And not only for todays data, but for the data of the previous days as well. Either the software is buggy (well, it is clear it is Windows 3.1 software that has been patched to work on NT/2000/XP/Vist...

Re: have won 2 wars with hospitals: & now I need some APAP-help

It would seem to me that there would be a problem w/these other hospitals referring suspected OSA patients to your neurologist is that he has only one APAP and even he doesn't know the pressures to best set it at. I'm sure he can learn the pressure settings most likely to work - but - what about so...

Re: have won 2 wars with hospitals: & now I need some APAP-help

Well done. Glad to hear things are working out for you. You know it isn't a huge stretch to say that the full time higher pressures caused the itchiness...more air...more dry skin...more chance to itch. Doesn't really matter though. The important thing is that you are happy now. Thanks I am so glad...

Re: Sleep technician says meds may cause sleep apnea!

I would ask your doctor I second this. Ceteris paribus of course, but over here 'sleep technicians' that I have met (it might have been an unfortunate accident, so there might actually be good ones who I just managed to miss) are nothing more than sheep herders with a new profession after having be...

Re: CPAP has stopped my Apneas.. I cant sleep with a Quattro Fx

Give it a little more time; I struggled for months, two problems at the same time: [a] getting used to all of this d*mn cheap leaking masks that made my nights horrible (and none of these 'doctors' and 'sleep technicians' couldn't care less about problem .b.). The problem .a. is something we all hav...
