From what I have read there are 2 kinds of pressure ramping with "Autopap" machines. And perhaps you are not used to the S9. One will adjust downwards faster. One will adjust upwards faster. Well I have shag carpeting and it doesnt like it. So It took a long time to figure out this issue and it is not something to do with the Resmed S9 Autopap with Heated Humidifier being bad. It has to do with the quirky 90 watt power supply.

See if you can find a power inverter so you can use your car. Targus makes a 90 watt inverter for laptops with a 1 120 watt plug. Sure you have to sleep in the car and keep it running but it is sleep. Other options are leave town and get a motel.
