Re: Fisher&Paykel Zest Nasal Mask

I have the Zest. It's not my regular mask, but I use the headgear with the True Blue. I know when I used the Zest I was a completely newbie and when I would take it apart to clean I wouldn't always snap it back together right. Is it possible that maybe it's snapped together correctly? Also, it has a...

Switch to S9 Autoset - Advice on Pressure Adjustment

So, last night was my first night on my new S9 AutoSet. I set it for a pressure range of 6-13. My prescribed pressure was 9, but I was using a 10 on straight cpap. One of the reasons that I wanted to switch to APAP (other than loving the APAP concept) was that despite low AHIs, I still don't feel th...

Re: Circadiance Sleepweaver mask

I have the SleepWeaver with the improved Zephyr seal. I like it. It's not my every day mask, though. It's definitely cooler than the my other mask, but I find that it takes too much adjustment to get a good seal and to keep it from leaking into my eyes. I'm still kind of a newbie, though, so it's pr...

Re: APAP Related Questions and Advice

fumbling34 , I am glad to see that you're using the nasal Blue mask which is similar to my mask. IMO, Resmed is using in its APAP machines, sophisticated inventions for treatment of snoring, events, and leak compensations, that no other APAP on the market has been using yet. Avi-- It's awesome that...

Re: APAP Related Questions and Advice

Just 2 thoughts.. The S9 doesn't score RERA's. If you are buying out of poscket, S9's seem to pop up for sale here more often than PRS1's. Thanks for the feedback! Wow! Is there a reason that the S9 does NOT score RERAs? Aren't RERAs important, too ,when trying to diagnose/fine tune any sleep issues?

APAP Related Questions and Advice

So, ever since I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea, I've lusted for an APAP. I love the concept of only delivering the pressure that you need. Hubs is a CPAP user and I thinks I'm crazy and I should just be happy with my CPAP. He also thinks that I shouldn't adjust my own pressure, but should visit a d...

Re: Nasal mask recommendations, please.

Having trouble with my nasal CPAP mask. I have a Zest Nasal CPAP Mask with Headgear. I like the way it is made, but it leaves a mark on my nose. I think if it were 1/2" longer it would be perfect. I have a relatively small face, with a maybe little bit larger nose, or it is more prominent at the br...

Re: Free Trial for Newbies and Strugglers (Aromatics)

I received my sample yesterday, too. I read the instructions and doing so made me kind of a paranoid about adding too much to the pad. In retrospect, I think I didn't add enough or I put it in the wrong spot. While i could smell it when I first applied it to the pad, I couldn't smell it when I used ...

Re: Sleep Apnea Tied to Increased Cancer Risk

I found this article kind of disturbing. Prior to reading it, I honestly had no desire to hook up a pulse oximeter while I slept. Now, I can definitely see the value in that. Because really even while being treated with CPAP, your oxygen levels are still going to dip during apeneas and hypopneas. Th...

Re: Summertime Masks?

There is always the option of the week trial at the cpaplibrary site. No need to purchase a mask to utilize the trial program but popular masks do have a waiting list. They do sell supplies and the ad about the free exchange thing refers to a purchased mask. http://www.cpaplibrary.com/mask-trials $...

I'm still a newbie, too, so I'm sure the other members will have way more insightful feedback and questions. Is this the mask that you tried during your sleep study? This is the mask i was given at my sleep study. I only used it for about 3 hours or so as i did a split study but it seemed to feel f...

Re: Summertime Masks?

Being new to cpap, I would concentrate on making it through a night with the mask you have. Once you get to that point make it through a week of nights. Once you have done that and are more comfortable then try a different mask. Thanks for the feedback, Gerry! How do you know when to give up on a m...

I'm still a newbie, too, so I'm sure the other members will have way more insightful feedback and questions. Is this the mask that you tried during your sleep study? I would ask the following: What is their return policy for masks? Is it a 30-day trial? Should this mask not work for me, what masks d...

Re: Summertime Masks?

My favorite hot weather mask is the 'olde faithfulle' Swift FX nasal pillows. (with side covers) If you look at the masks listed below member's posts here, you will indeed find quite a few nasal pillows. You never know until you try. Some even use the pillows on fairly high pressure, although lower...

Re: Summertime Masks?

I noticed that it comes with a money back returns guarantee, less postage. Might be one worth trying. It's shocking how much return insurance is but I'm grateful for it never-the-less. Suz [s]Thank for the reply! Does the money back guarantee mean that I still have to purchase the "return insurance...
