Re: Multiple Wake Ups... Can it be fixed? Any Experiences?
Hi I have had similar issues to you, with nasel pillows, keep waking up in the night. After about 8 months on CPAP I bought a chin strap and now I only wake 1-2 times a night. My mouth must have been dropping open slightly causeing minor leaks but enough to wake me. I noticed on my charts with sleap...

Re: APAP issues with pressure and leaks
Hi I tried some pure lanolin last night, I wiped it around the edges of the pillows and it did improve things a lot. I had to reapply it at around 3am, and then at 6am it was giving up again. Maybe tonight I will put more onto the pillows or around my nose. Do most people apply it to the nostrils or...

APAP issues with pressure and leaks
Hi I have now received a replacement Resmed s9 as my 1st was really noisy. The 2nd is also noisy but I am persevering with it. Anyway I have nasal pillows (swift fx) and my pressure is set to a range of 6-10 AHI is low I think because I was awake alot. 2.93 I can go to sleep fine without any leaks a...

Re: Hating the mask? Maybe this will help someone.
My problem is my nose gets really itchy, and I have to poke my finger in under the mask to have a scratch. Then I get leaks and have to mess around resealing the mask . I switch between nasal pillows and a full face mask, and am trying to work out which is best. Pillows are most comfortable but I wa...

Re: noise from new S9 is this normal ?
My wife can put her ear near the machine and the noise is coming from the back near the filter. If you put your finger over the filter it changes the noise slightly. Do you mean the noise from the mask is being transmitted down the hose into the machine? No, what I meant was that I could hear the a...

Re: noise from new S9 is this normal ?
As others have said above it sounds like mask venting noise to me. You may hear a very faint cycle if you have EPR turned on, but I can't hear it on the recording. Re: noise from new S9 is this normal ?
I am not sure about this now. My wife can very clearly hear the machine making this noise. To test various things I disconnected the humidifier and held the main unit in my hand and with the hose and mask connected it still made the loud noise when I breathed. Last nights sleep it would sometimes al...

Re: ICON Users - Humidifier/Heat Question(s)
I believe the icon heats the humidifier full time. So without the container in, the heat has to go somewhere. You can put it in ECO mode which turns this off. I would have thought that the humidifier heating would only turn on when the machine is in operation, but this is not the case. ECO means no ...

Re: Just bought Resmed S9 autoset - any tips?
Hi Thanks everyone for the helpful advice. Last night was my first night on the new S9 but it was not great. Firstly, it sounded like Darth Vadar was in the room - my wife's comment - everytime I took a breath the machine made a loud huffing/breathing noise similar to Darth. Next, as the pressure go...
