Re: swift nose pillow
You bring up a good topic! It appears your old and new mask is a nasal mask. I got rid of my nasal mask due to nose bridge soreness and the mark/scar it left. You can try using the PR Trublue. It worked perfect for me despite the marks and soreness. My pressure is set at 9. During my sleep study I u...

Re: Change mask to swift fx
For Pusgy I use the same chin strap with nasal and nasal pillow mask. My AHI was down to 0.8 with the nasal mask. Today its 2.1. I just installed sleepyhead on my system last night. I dont use the Auto IQ feature on my system. I received my machine on 12 March 2012. I will tell you that on the weeke...

Re: Change mask to swift fx
SAME HERE!!! I'm glad you wrote about this topic. I previously had the PR Trueblue nasal mask and recently switched to Swift FX. I noticed my AHI went up. Not by much but I definitely feel more tired than usual. Could it be mouth breathing? If not, what could it bed? Please help! The bridge of my no...

Re: Supporting My Partner- New CPAP User.
Welcome! Honestly it depends on the actual person. What type of equipment/mask is being used?
For myself, it took about a couple days to get used to the change.

First night on new mask - Swift FX
I returned my PR trueblue nasal mask after nearly of month of struggling. It gave me a nice little mark on the bridge of my nose, and air leaks when I was shift my head from left to right. Dont get me wrong, I would get the mask again but for now, I'll give the mark on the bridge of my nose a break ...

Re: 1st night with True Blue nasel mask
Glad it worked out for you. I currently use the same mask and have been for almost a month (next week). I have a small scar on the bridge of my nose . Maybe I had it on too tight??? Currently I'm using the gecko pad and it has its own pros and cons. I think my next mask will be nasal pillows.

Re: Cpap & Bipap
A quick google search provided the following: A CPAP machine is used to treat sleep apnea by giving continuous positive airway pressure and is specifically used to treat sleep apnea. A BiPAP machine is an apparatus that is used to help people inhale more air into their lungs and can be used to treat...

Re: filling up with air
Hi CraneGuy, I'm not a doctor but is your nose stuffed? Air gets into your stomach when a person swallows air rather than breathing it.

Re: [OT] Should I stop eating Wheat ??
I recently stopped eating wheat. I also started using my CPAP machine around the same time so I can't tell if not eating wheat has helped. Its probably mostly the CPAP machine that has helped me tremendously. I have allergies to gluten which is a protein found in wheat, rye, oats, and barley. I gues...

Re: When do improvements start?
Improvements started on the morning of my sleep study with the CPAP machine. I could feel the difference. I woke up feeling like a million dollars. Believe me when I say that I have NEVER felt so alive. Sleep study without CPAP: 1. Tech work me up around 630am. 2. Went home took a shower. 3. Slept u...

Re: New and what sores to expect
Thanks for the replies thus far. I cant really say its the straps that are too tight. I put on my mask based on the video I saw on youtube. I think my problem is I toss and turn a lot. This leads to my head/face being pushed into my pillow which could cause a pinch point pushing my mask onto the bri...

Can you send me the link to Encore Pro 2? I appreciate it.
Also, can I use both Encore Pro 2 and SleepyHead? Thank you so much!

New and what sores to expect
Good day everyone! I'm new to Sleep Apnea and just received my machine two weeks ago. I'm currently using a nasal mask that has left a blister on the bridge of my nose. I'm using the gecko pad for the time being which is helping. The blister might eventually become a scar which sucks. Are there any ...
