Re: Night wakings
Thanks for sharing, I thought I was just wierd. When I wake up at night sometimes I lay there for 2 hours before going back to sleep but its funny because even then I dont get the urge to nap during the day time. It is hard getting up, put its not a choice when you have to get the kids ready for sch...

Night wakings
I have a question that I didnt think to ask earlier with my other posts. I would have asked my dr but forgot. I almost always have trouble feeling tired enough to go to sleep at night then when I do I wake up around 1:30 or 2:30 a.m. and feel wide awake and just wish the alarm clock would go off alr...

Do you like this machine? I am waiting to be set up with my first cpap machine. Just wondering what you like and dislike about this machine and it features. Does it give you a lot of info on how you did the night before? Is it easy to read/figure out?

Re: Newbie
I guess I just thought that she thought I was just smart enough to pick a color. I figured they just offered pink ones for women/girls that are vain. I care mostly about what a machine can do and if I can figure out between dr visits how I am doing on my machine. Is this asking too much of a machine?

What do I need to take away from a sleep study
As I mentioned I am a newbie. however, I had a sleep study done several years ago maybe 3-4 and I "think" they said my sleep apnea is mild to mod. But they said I do need a cpap machine. Yesterday my dr. said that it could help my high b/p, my stress and anxiety issues. Since it has been several yea...

Re: How do you know what type you are?
I am guessing that I must be a mouth breather. While reading other posts I tried breathing thru my nose and realized that it was much more effort to take a deep breath than it was thru my mouth. That or I am obsessing

Need a more detailed search
Okay I typed in the "search" brick and it listed all the posts that had the word brick in them. Then I typed in "what is a brick" and it gave me recent posts with the word "brick" in it. I read a bunch of people complaining about a brick but nothing told me what one is and what to look for to avoid ...

Re: Does inusrance compensate for sleepless nights
I dont plan on using this as an excuse I just dont want to end up with a bill over a misunderstanding. To me being prepared is a good thing! Knowing what to expect is usually the best option not "oh, I will deal with it after it happens". How do you plug one in, do they make car chargers? At the tor...

Re: How do you know what type you are?
No, I wasnt told which type of breather I am. My husband just knows that I snore -I cant really ask him because if there is any light AT ALL on while I am trying to sleep it wakes me up or keeps me awake. I dont know what kind of mask or machine I am getting. I dont know much about this stuff - well...

Does inusrance compensate for sleepless nights
I have a ton of questions to ask with the empending CPAP fitting coming up. I was told by my dr. that insurance will only pay their part if you wear the cpap nightly and for a certain amount of time. Here is my problem. It is now the beginning of tornado season. My husband works nights so me and my ...

Re: Newbie
As I mentioned earlier, my study was done about 3 years ago and about the only thing I remember was them saying that I spent most of the night in the lighter stages of sleep and that I spent only about 10 minutes or so in level 4 (the deepest restful sleep) and only did that 2-3 times during the nig...

Whats it called?
This is kind of hard to explain if you havent experienced this yourself but here goes! Sometimes when I read a magazine/book to try to get to sleep I will be laying there reading and then all of a sudden I drop my magazine and then I jerk back awake. My husband told me several years ago that he read...
