Lee Lee, I have had the same exact problems that you are experiencing with my Activa. I had used the Ultra Mirage for a long time, and had heard so many wonderful things about the Activa that I bought one out of pocket. My UM is a standard size and has always felt a little bit big, so I got the Acti...

What am I doing wrong?
I recently got a Comfort Curve mask from my DME, and haven't been able to use it for a full night yet. I really love the idea of this mask, and really want to make friends with it. I seem to start out fairly well, after a few adjustments it doesn't leak, but if I turn in my sleep it almost immediate...

Hi Voices, I sleep in my contacts too, but don't seem to have any cpap related problems with them. I usually take mine out about every 5 days to give my peepers a rest and to let the lenses soak but other than that they do okay. I do keep eye drops on my nightstand and put them in as soon as I wake ...

Comfort Curve and Resmed S8 questions
Hi everyone, I just got my new Comfort Curve in the mail today from my DME and I have a couple of questions that hopefully somebody that uses this mask can answer. The picture brochure that came with it is pretty worthless, but I think I got all of the pieces in the correct places. I turned on my cp...

Another mask question
Hello everyone! I haven't posted in quite a while, but that's only because I have been doing great with my cpap and haven't had any problems. I am now getting ready to order a new mask and need your expertise with a couple of questions. I started off using the Swift nasal pillows, but only used it f...

Angela, I have the exact same setup that you do, and when I first started a few weeks ago had many of the same questions. My humidifier didn't seem warm at all, but when I cranked it up it did get hot. Only problem was that I got a little bit of rainout at the higher settings so I now keep it at 3. ...

Another S8 question
I have a straight cpap, the S8 Elite. Every morning when I check my efficacy data it says Pressure 9. The strange thing is, my cpap is set at 10! Any idea why the pressure would say 9 every day?

Question about Ultra Mirage II
After a lot of ups and downs with my Swift I decided to bite the bullet and buy another type of mask out of pocket. I went back and forth, and after a visit with my DME yesterday I came home with an Ultra Mirage II. I had only intended to try all the masks and then buy from cpap.com, but he gave me ...

Thanks to all of you for your very helpful information. Just one more dumb question...where do you buy a 220 volt extension cord? Did you just wait and buy it once you got over there? I wonder if the 220 will work in the U.K., isn't their voltage something like 240?? Sorry for so many questions, but...

The only mask I have ever used is the Swift, and my only complaint is that my nose is getting pretty tender now too. Underneath it and my nose itself. I like the looks of the Activa for an alternate to use once or twice a week to give my schnozz a rest, but I'm having a hard time figuring out which ...

Birdshell, I would really appreciate your electrician friend's opinion. Believe it or not, my house did burn down about 7 years ago. Not from a faulty wire, or an overloaded extension cord, it was from a direct lightning hit to our attic fan. As you can probably imagine, I am a little bit leary of a...

Before starting cpap I was already scoping out the distance of the outlets (as well as lack of outlets), so I figured I would need an extension cord. Only problem is, when I picked up my cpap and questioned my RT about an extension cord she was pretty adamant that I not use one for fear that it migh...

Power conversion question
Has anyone travelled to Europe with their cpap? I have the Resmed S8, and I think it automatically goes the power that is being used. Do I just use a plug adapter or do I need to plug the cord into a converter as well as the adapter plug? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I am electronically cha...

Progress report
I just completed my 4th night on CPAP, and I'm really feeling encouraged that this might work. I love my Resmed S8 Elite and all of the features on it! My machine shows 29 hours of usage after 4 nights, other statistics show that my Leak level has ranged from .02 (lowest) to .22 (highest). My AHI ha...
