Re: Free Dreamwear full face supplies
Dr. recommended this mask for me and I was about to make an appointment with the CPAP provider. I"m using a full face mask now and not happy, after using a nose mask for 30 years. I would be happy to have your stuff. If so, I'll send you my address and money for postage. My email mirkee@comcast.net ...

Re: I'm new and need advice
First of all, congratulations on taking the big step and trying CPAP! I was diagnosed because I felt sleepy during the day and actually fell asleep at two red lights, one at a freeway offramp. This was early in the afternoon and it was scary. Once I went on CPAP, I realized how much better I felt an...

Re: Needing new machine and supplies...recommendations?
I made a mistake in my original post. I presently have an S8 Escape. I just read the prescription and it reads: "Replacement CPAP blower. Resp need 11cm H2O. Heated humidifier. EPR 3." Does that mean I am going to get a straight CPAP and not an S9 Auto? I want the S9 Auto to see if it will be better...

Needing new machine and supplies...recommendations?
I have had a Resmed Elite 8 for several years now. I just went to a pulmonary MD for asthma and sleep apnea. This was my first sleep doctor but I had not been back for 20 years (I was so happy with CPAP!). In any event, he gave me a new prescription for an oximeter study tonight (at home) and a new ...

Re: Due for a sleep study. S8 vs. S9?
Hm...I haven't even made an appointment with my sleep doctor yet. My guess is that he, too, will recommend the S9. We'll see. I have prudent buyer PPO with a $200 deductible which I have already met. They pay 90% and the sleep center is part of a major hospital. In the meantime, I'll look up the dif...

Re: Due for a sleep study. S8 vs. S9?
I better look into the S9 as to form factor. I do like the fact that the S8 I have is so compact. I don't travel a lot, but some. I guess "auto" means that the pressure adjusts to whatever it needs to to stop my apneas? I don't think I would get much use out of the reporting function. I'm not likely...

Due for a sleep study. S8 vs. S9?
I haven't had a sleep study in a long time. I'm sure it's been over 5 years. I figure it's time for one. I have been using a ResMed S8 Escape and been happy with it. I notice many people here use an S9. What are the advantages and should I be trying to get an S9 after my sleep study?
Thank you

Insurance and CPAP
I have been on CPAP for 20 years. Very happy with it and I don't believe I have gone one night without my CPAP since diagnosis. I am 61 yo and overweight. 5'10", 220 lbs. I buy my CPAP supplies here and there, mostly online. I sometimes turn in a claim form to my insurance co. I have Blue Cross Prud...
