Re: muscle necrosis due to apnea?
Well, I guess I don't know what else it could be. I have bilateral, symmetrical quarter-sized "holes" (I could put a finger through them if the skin wasn't there) underneath the skin. I suppose they could be classified as large dimples. They are often painful and always very tender. I have noticed o...

muscle necrosis due to apnea?
Hi, all. Slow but sure, my abdominal muscles have been turning to swiss cheese. The muscles seem to be necrosing and thoughts of my complex sleep apnea make me wonder if I'm hypoxic enough to cause this while I sleep. I have an appointment with a Dr. in a about a week, so I'm not here for self diagn...

Re: Possible red mark solution?
Thanks for the posts, folks. Well, it was my mistake to think the red patched were from vasodilation. The Dr. said the red mark is from the interstitial fluid being driven out of the area due to excess pressure. Conclusion: Prep H a no-go. The only recommendations received were to try and massage th...

Many have the red marks for the entire day!BlackSpinner wrote:The idea of using a drug (every night for the rest of your life) just to reduce a slight red mark on the face (that fades in an hour) is truly dumb. If it really really bothers you, get some make up.

Possible red mark solution?
Hi there, I've been searching through the forums for a solution to red marks on the face due to cpap masks. I read several posts and see that many are are having a real hard time dealing with red marks that last the whole day. After thinking about it, I thought that what was needed is a topical vaso...

Re: Central Sleep Apneas are freaking me out
Yeah, I'll post some data this weekend. Been out of pocket due to exam week. I did note that many of my apneas were around the first and last 2 hours of sleep. Got some ambien today to see if the first bouts are simply stress due to the whole process. Thanks for the interest everyone, I'll post the ...

Re: Sleeping issues & CPAP
Yeah, these symptoms may be traced to neck because several cranial nerves and a thoracic nerve spread out to feed your arm through what's called your brachial plexus. I would try some simple changes first like switching pillows, easing the pressure of CPAP strap, stuff like that. Just to see. Go see...

Re: Mask change central coming back!
Hi Summer, I'm sorry I can't really help, but I can definitely relate. I have personally found that different masks require changes in pressure. I have also experienced these clusters of CSA's. I'm suspecting that I do better with centrals when my AutoSet is used as APAP. Don't know that for sure, b...

Central Sleep Apneas are freaking me out
I finally received my ResMed AutoSet and last night I showed 30 CSA's. Many over 20 seconds, and some over 30 seconds. I'm pretty concerned bout this. Anyone here suffer from CSA's? Is this common? What's the proper treatment received by others?
Thanks
Thanks

ResScan view by session, not day?
While waiting for my AutoSet I was wondering if there was a way in ResScan to view data by session and not day. Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Plane trip with CPAP machine
Hey there. Just flew with mine and didn't even have to take it out of its case at 3 different airports. Just put the case on the belt. I didn't want to pack it because I quickly grew fond of it.

Re: Interesting talk with the DME
Yes, in the end it seemed like a batlle between what he thought was right for me and what i thought was right for me. I think that most people, in most situations, would rather be taken care of poorly rather than take care of themselves well. I think that was where he was coming from; a generic, was...

Re: Interesting talk with the DME
I'm glad you got some good results. When you download your data, print out a copy and show him that it's more than just "leaks". He may truly not know! Scary! Some owners are really just the business people and may not understand what they sell. But... they should! I will definitely do so. I don't ...

Re: Sick and tired of being sick and tired
Latest news: am getting an S9 AutoSet shipped. Hopefully it will aid in getting this whole thing adjusted. Had the worst night in months last night after kinda giving up on the FFM and going back to pillows. Couldn't function. I'm going to stick it out with the mask. WTH, I shaved for it.... Looking...
