Re: Average Total Leaks question

Yes. it's the SleepyHead software. Thank you for the info. I guess I'm dong everything correctly. I probably should start a new discussion but I seem to wake up really groggie and overtired since starting this cpap stuff. Seems like a need a second cup of coffee most days. I'm thinking this is my bo...

Average Total Leaks question

I apologize before hand. This is my second week with cpap. I had many problems with mask leaks the first couple of days but as of the last couple of nights I think I got the leaks under control. This graph is a little off but hopefully you can advise of the numbers. From what I have read in this hel...

Fifth night. Heated hose needed?

I'm still very new to all this. I went from a large mask to medium mask last night and everything was good. A better fit around my eyes with no leaks. I slept straight through for four hours. I took the mask off to use the bathroom, came back and put the mask on and now have cold air pressure blowin...

Third night with success!

I only woke up once do to mask leakage but was able to fix the leak and fall back asleep. Three things this forum really helped with. 1. Biotene mouth wash...no dry mouth while sleeping. 2. Old t-shirt mask seal...made several of these and provided a better seal and less bridge of nose pain. 3. Wrap...

second night, bump on nose

I'm discouraged today. I developed a little painful bump on the bridge of my nose caused from the mask the first night. The mask is size large I was told. I used the machine maybe 4 hours last night and it sounds wimpy but it was just too painful on my nose to use. No way I could fall asleep. I took...

Re: Another this is my first night post

Thanks Pugsy. I'll look for that Biotene at the store. During the sleep study they first tried the nose therapy but I just couldn't sleep with my mouth closed. They then put me on the full face therapy and that worked. This is very humbling for me as I usually "Keep my mouth shut." ha ha I'll see ho...

Re: Another this is my first night post

Thanks for the report on the machines and "Sleephead" link. I'll tackle that in a few days. Got through the first night and accidentally pulled the hose from the machine two times. I woke up several times that I remember. Really bad headache where the face mask was pressing on the bridge of my nose....

Another this is my first night post

Hello and thank you for this forum. I've read a lot in here the last couple of days. I feel like I'm a little behind on all this new information. First I'm a 55 year old male, very active, slim, eat well, great marriage, great grown up children, recently retired, Christian, never smoked and don't dr...
