Re: new ASV not feeling the same as old ASV
I recently aquired the Respironics DreamStation BiPAP AutoSV after about 8 years on the old Respironics AutoSV Advanced. My old settings were 15 IPAP max, 10 IPAP min and 5 EPAP. i told my therapist this and for whatever reason they couldn't replicate it. it would go from 5 EPAP all the way to 15 I...

sleep position: on back, knees up, arms over head.
does anyone know if this sleep position means anything? my wife finds me like this frequently if she is awake in the middle of the night. searching the net I've seen people say anything from my body trying to keep blood in my chest (to stay warm perhaps) to my leg muscles shortening and causing my k...

Re: encore smart card issue
I've had that happen too many times with EncoreViewer. I called customer service and they suggested opening a new profile. It works until you run out of space for profiles and have to delete data from the program. I'd recommend downloading SleepyHead software. It's free and, in my opinion, is a bet...

Re: encore smart card issue
I have another thought. Is it possible that you left the SD card in the locked position so that even if inserted correctly, it will not write to the card? When I put my card into my computer, I lock it so that there is no danger of erasing the data. Once removed from the computer, it needs to be un...

bleeding
Sorry for the gross topic but i wanted to see if anyone has had similar experiences... I switched to nasal pillows (swift fx) from a nasal mask about 4 days ago - the pressure is much more direct (i'm on auto bi-pap 5-10 with a max of 15) and the inside of my nose has been sore. i haven't been using...

Re: my ASV data - any ideas/suggestions?
Thanks - yes, i know i could use a little more exercise - even thought about getting a dog as well, but dont know if my 3 cats would appreciate it. I know the numbers are relatively great, and i definitely feel better than i used to, but feel like i'm not quite 100% - i may be over thinking it and s...

my ASV data - any ideas/suggestions?
Hi gang - frequent reader, infrequent poster here. I was wondering if anyone would like to offer their 2 cents on my data - yes, i know we're not professionals but i'd like to get some user opinions and i'm really sick of my neurolgist's office PA who is just happy my AHI is under 5 (yes, i am too, ...

Re: infineer 3500 on a Macbook Pro
yes, i connect the device in the fusion menu. maybe i don't understand how smart card readers or Windows work - i expect to then see the device somewhere in 'my computer' or on the desktop, but i don't. the card reader light is green for a few seconds, and then goes red. in sleepyhead i try to impor...

Re: infineer 3500 on a Macbook Pro
i'm using fusion and feeling like a luddite. it recognizes the card reader. i put the card in. nothing else happens, i can't find the data. Is the respironics bipap ASV data capable? argh.

infineer 3500 on a Macbook Pro
Has anyone gotten the Infineer 3500 smart card reader to work with a Mac? i'm not even having any luck getting it to show up when i run a windows emulator. I've been on CPAP for about 4 months and my first machine had a SD card i used with Sleepyhead to see my data. I recently got a respironics bipa...
