Re: Oximeters: Junk or Not?

The ring actually also records my pulse as does go quite low into the 30's as have bradycardia That's a good reason to use a pulse-oximeter. Hopefully I will be able shortly to present my results in a proper format here I'm a fan of OSCAR. However, SleepHQ is easier to use and can more easily provi...

Re: Untreated Sleep Apnea Doubles Parkinson’s Risk

whether starting CPAP improved their Parkinson's symptoms This was not part of the study. But one would think starting CPAP might slow the progress of the damage being done to the brain's neural circuits. The improvements they might experience would be the result of CPAP usage, not PD improvement. ...

Re: Oximeters: Junk or Not?

Is this ring acceptable to present the data at a Sleep Apnea Doctors appt. It's acceptable to present, but your doctor would tell you to use the medical device he has already prescribed. Doctors can be successfully sued for making diagnoses or prescribing treatment based on devices that are not FDA...

Wondering if anybody has insight
1. Get a free account at SleepHQ.com
2. Upload your data
3. Post the link to your analysis in this thread.

These are three easy steps that potentially yield good advice.

Re: Risks of using Cpap

Can the longterm use of Cpap cause abdominal pains and Laryngitis conditions? Which Cpap and mask is effective? What causes coughs whilst using a Cpap? There is only one risk of using CPAP - breaking a toe by dropping the machine on your foot. About your abdominal pain, are you talking about air le...

Re: Is my Deviated septum cause of poor sleep or something else?

Regarding the deviated septum. If you can't breath through one nostril by all means get the surgery. I had septum & turbinate surgery a few years ago, trust me, breathing is better than not. I had issues with nasal congestion and still do. The difference is that I never get to the point where air d...

I just received a Contec pulse oximeter CMS50F, and it looks like the software I need to download is a .exe file. But I have a Mac. Nothing happens when I try to run the .exe file. Am I stuck? Are there others that have files compatible with MacOS? Thanks, Lindsay Easy answer - just use OSCAR - htt...

but I know I’ll need to get a new sleep study done
Please don't do that. It's a terrible waste of resources.

When my sleep doctor retired, I asked my GP to update my CPAP prescription. He knows nothing about CPAP, but he has been writing what I tell him for years.
