Re: Early to bed, later to rise

They also said the most restorative sleep is before midnight.
I think this is true. Is there any research on it?

I sleep better when going to bed by ten. It is hard to make it a habit and usually it is eleven or twelve.

Is there any research on this that Dr. Oz cited?

Too bad they missed the number one - our own Pugsy!

Do you follow any of the 10 in the list?

The only one I keep up with is Dr. Park. He is great!

Join the RLS forum and you will get an education - http://www.rls.org/discussion I used to belong to that forum and something changed on their site a while back and I guess I need to rejoin because I couldn't log in. Re: OT: Diabetics, help please.

He asked me to come in 2 weeks later for another test. Do it. Listen to your doc. Get the tests. You need to remain under the care of a doctor until the situation is clear. In the states you can get a blood glucose meter free with coupon or rebate. You have to buy the strips but it would be a small...

Re: Getting up to pee several times per night

I am a strong advocate for everyone monitoring thier data regularly. I would recommend that you set up to do so soon if you have not already done so. Todzo I guess you did not read Pugsy's sig. Pugsy is the Pope of Data Monitoring and the Pied Piper of Data Monitoring - she has cast her data spell ...

Getting up to pee several times per night

It’s been shown in numerous studies that the reason why you wake up is not because your bladder is too full—it’s because you’ve stopped breathing and you think your bladder is full, but it’s not. Here’s what happens: Every time you stop breathing, blood flow to the heart diminishes, but once you st...

So you think my suggestion to use a data capable machine to make sure the CPAP therapy works well is bad advice?

I'd be very careful about MMA surgery because things tend to revert to their previous state within a few months to a year, Sorry Julie, But that is incorrect. Metal plates are surgically implanted on each side to permanently hold the jaw forward - will never revert. Anthromed on Sat Jul 07, 2012 11...

Re: sensitive teeth and nasal pillows

I have a full mask since I am a mouth breather, and I have had a horrible problem with teeth sensitivity since starting my cpap machine. I don't know why or what to do about it. - Stay well hydrated. - Brush and floss well before you go to bed. Use a toothpaste for sensitive teeth. https://www.goog...

This is unfortunate. Is there a cha...

avi, I was looking for that. I knew there were studies showing untreated apnea causes brain damage.

So the question is, did cerebellar atrophy cause central apnea or did apnea cause brain damage which has been diagnosed as cerebellar atrophy?

Re: Supreme Court and the Individual Mandate

Everybody gets Health Insurance at the SAME price with the SAME reimbursement, the SAME deductible and the SAME treatment? Freedom is messy and some people just aren't suited for it. My advice to them is to marry a strong woman who will run the household and make all the decisions. (These kinds usu...
