Time for a new machine?
Hello... I haven't posted here in years. Yall helped me a ton when I first got my machine almost 10 years ago. I never posted much but I was always lurking in the hallways reading post and such. Anyway I'm still using the Resmed Autoset I got all those years ago. No issues what so ever. A year or mo...

Battery Setup
Haven't posted in awhile. Addicted to my CPAP and can't sleep without it. It doesn't happen that often but when our power goes out I dread trying to get to sleep. It was out last Sunday night from a storm for about 4 hours and I was miserable. At that point I decided I was going to buy a battery as ...

Re: Tooth Enamel/ CPAP Question
Sorry for the late response here... I went to the GI doctor a few weeks ago & he recommended an upper endoscopy with a dilation to help with the swallowing issue. I haven't went for that yet because I'm waiting to figure out about how much I'm going to be responsible for after insurance. Anyway in t...

Re: Tooth Enamel/ CPAP Question
Thanks Janknitz. Thats an interesting read. I've only read the one one you linked to but when I get a chance I'll check the others out. I hope this doctor isn't just a waist of time and money because I've got a high deductible plan this year vs. the past few years when I paid my $40 copay & went on....

Re: Tooth Enamel/ CPAP Question
Thanks for the replies. To answer a few things. I do mouth breath and I have noticed that my mouth is really dry in the morning. I guess I should play around with the humidity settings to see if that helps. I see what your saying about bacteria and that it can accelerate tooth erosion. It hasn't rea...

Tooth Enamel/ CPAP Question
Hello I just had my 2 year CPAP anniversary. Every thing has been going smoothly & I have gotten so used to the mask I have a hard time sleeping without it. My wife & I have a 7 1/2 month old beautiful little girl now too. Just thought I would throw in a quick little update. Anyway, I went to a dent...

Are Follow Up Appointments Necessary?
Hello. I had my yearly physical at my family doctor's office and she was asking all the general questions and she brought up CPAP. I told her it was going good and she wanted to know if I had seen the area sleep doctor for follow ups. I told her no because I am 100% compliant and don't have any issu...

1 Year Down & other news!!
Well last night was 365 nights since I got my Autoset. I've missed a few nights on the machine for various reasons but all in all I'm really happy with my progress. I can't believe the first time I put the mask on in the lab I pretty much freaked out and thought my life was over, which now I realize...

Great News!!
I haven't posted on the forum in awhile because my CPAP therapy has been going really well thankfully. But I still get on here pretty much everyday and read the topics so I feel like a part of the "family" though, so I wanted to share my news. My and wife are expecting our first child on June 18!!! ...

Re: Extremely Flushed and Severe Back Pain
I recommend getting checked out by your doctor too. Hopefully PT gets me straightened out but there are obviously tons of reasons for back pain. They are all terrible though. Good luck.

Re: Extremely Flushed and Severe Back Pain
Hey Rick. I just posted a thread about a very similar pain I've been having. I can't figure out how to post a hyperlink for some reason so just copy & past this address or look on recently posted threads for --OT: Sort of - Back Pain while Asleep. What you're saying sounds almost exactly what I'm go...
