Re: MUST one have a 'sleep study'?

I went for my CPAP titration sleep study and took to it like a fish to water. Even felt good the next day. Problem was, I also had Complex Apneas(Centrals) when on CPAP. Not sure why I felt good after the titration, with maybe the exception I got an hour of two of "good" sleep before the centrals go...

Re: dr. called moving to ASV..very sad

I have had my ASV for about 3 weeks now. Does take a bit to get used to and as said before, relaxing is important. I did not see if you got your own machine yet, but I was titrated with Respironics, but have a Res Med Adapt. I found the Res Med much easier for me "blend" with. It even gets easier ev...

Re: Weight Watchers: Eat All the Fruit You Want

I have been told that is a sure sign of a diet that will fail at some point.
Last time when I lost 65+ pounds in 6 months I was hungry all the time. It's a mental hunger, in that I "want" more, not "need" more. Can't really hardly remember a time when I "needed" more food.

Re: Weight Watchers: Eat All the Fruit You Want

I think my food intake with myfitnesspal.com is pretty similar to when I did Weight Watcher's the first time around and lost a LOT of weight. I think the food make-up is actually pretty similar too. I have lost weight on low carb in the past, but find that I have to have higher levels of fiber (for ...

Re: Weight Watchers: Eat All the Fruit You Want

I lost 65+ pounds 10 years ago on the old Weight Watchers diet. I was ALWAYS hungry, but lost that 65 pounds in 6 months. I have tried their new "Points" and "Points Plus" now that 40 pounds of it are back and have failed at both because they just simply give you too much to eat. My adult kids intro...

What could I look for in Sleepyhead graphs to determine if there are undetected episodes? I'll do the reset tonight before going to bed.

Re: Help: New ASV user. Here's my story.

Not really having problems with it, just getting used to it. I'm pretty good with my settings, here are my first 5 AHIs starting on Friday night: 0.45, 0.41, 0.0, 0.0, 0.0 I think I'm off to a good start!

Re: Help: New ASV user. Here's my story.

Just got a S9 adapt 4 days ago. I read posts on here about not fighting the ASV machine while breathing and made special note for night one. I tried to not "fight" the machine and ended up trying to take in MUCH more air than I should have. I think it made me start to hyperventilate, so I took a dee...

Re: Won him over

In four short nights of using it, my machine (an ASV) went from being a nightmare I could not even imagine, to being my most prized physical possession. Friday (First Night) - AHI = .45 Saturday - AHI =.41 Sunday - AHI = 0.0 Monday = 0.0 I still don't like it, but LOVE how I am already feeling.

Re: CMS50D+ and Sleepyhead 0.9.2-1

I have found it difficult to download data since the oximeter shuts off after a few seconds. It seems to download fine and not shut off if you go to one of the menu's before you download. Hope this helps.

AHI of 0.45 - Looks Like a Successful First Night

Well, unless I am reading something from Sleepyhead very wrong this looks like an amazing first night. Wife says I did not move around much at all. Only tough part was getting to sleep with the pressure going up and down and especially the surge when just falling to sleep. Actually the wife and the ...

I didn't see an S9 VPAP Adapt on the equipment list. Is it there and I just missed it? Expensive little bugger. Could have bought a used Motorcycle for that much $$$$.

Got My Machine!

After a few bumps today, I bought home a brand spanking new 0 hour Res Med S9 VPAP Adapt. Hooked it up and layed down on the bed for a few minutes.... AWESOME !!!! Did not seem to fight me at all like the one at the sleep center during the titration. So, I'm a happy camper right now. We'll see how t...
