Re: Quatro FX leaks SO frustrated
I was given a QuattroFX by my DME as my first mask, it was rather awful. It would wake me up three or four times a night. I started on a strait CPAP of 18, then 19, then a range of 18-20. I never was able to keep it from leaking. I have an easier time using the Quattro instead, it works very well, e...

Re: Encore Viewer 2.0
I'm actually having problems getting the DT-3500 to be seen in my EncoreViewer. I did the install on a typical XP machine as most do, then moved it to my workstation (7 x64), installed the card reader driver (Newer driver). It however just grays out the "Download Data" button. I am however able to u...

Re: AHI=0.0???
The Escape models will only track compliance data. So that's roughly when you used the machine, how long, and what pressure. Sadly, they don't track the rest of the data most machines do :/

Re: Newbie: M-Series x S9
My understanding, ResMed doesn't let resellers go below a set MSRP, so you can't really get discounts on them. If I was to buy outright, I would definitely go for the System One, as it can be had for half the price.
Either way, you'll get a good machine.

Re: Cheeks puffing like a blowfish on pressure 20
I have a Quattro FX in Small.. they started me at a pressure of 18 with it. It definitely made me feel like a blowfish. I now have a Quattro which seems to have more displacement for the air. It does well when it comes to not blowing me up like a balloon. I haven't been awoken burping in a while eit...

Re: CSA's what are my options?
Her thought was that my Titration RX was 18 CPAP originally. I was still managing 5-15 AHI a night on that pressure, so she wanted me to go to 19.. I decided to drop it.. did better, but still has CA's. I never made it to 19.. I tried a week to get to that point, then went back to the pressure "I" f...

Re: CSA's what are my options?
Soo, on my sleep doc's advice, I decided to set my range from 18-20 (She wanted to push me to 19 CPAP.. Doesn't "trust" APAP). This is an average night from the results Events: Clear Airway Apnea 208 events Hypopnea 12 events Obstructive Apnea 8 events Unspecified Apena 4 events Needless to say, I'v...

Re: New mask from Paykel didn't work at all
Have you tried making a liner yet? I was plagued with leaks due to my high pressure. My Quattro was the best thus far, but still leaked enough to annoy the crap out of me. It still leaks some, but I can't feel it. My machine also says the leak is an acceptable number. Thus far I've tried Quattro FX ...

Re: Mirage Quattro Leak Question
I actually cut up an old t-shirt last night out of frustration from leaks using my Quattro. It was a night and day difference. I'm using an APAP setting of 18-20 so I have /lots/ of leaks generally, to the point of being overly frustrated when I'm already having issues sleeping. If you have an old s...

Re: pseudotumor cerebri
On doing a search for Acetazolamide I found this post. I too was found to have Pseudotumor Cerebri (Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension, or IIH) brought on by OSA/CSA's. My titration left me with an AHI of 81 untreated. With that said, I decided to search for Acetazolamide/Dimox due to recent chang...

Re: Using the ResScan or Sleeyhead software
The ResScan software isn't worth the trouble really. I'll take SleepyHead printouts in with me to my doctor, the last time I actually just took my laptop. I'm using a monstrous laptop and ResScan is still painfully slow to use.

Re: Need advice on ResMed S9 VPAP Adapt and high pressures
I can't say from the point of VPAP, but from an APAP standard with a range of 16-20 cmH2O I have real issues finding a good mask to stand up to it. Even changes from 16-18 seem to make it seal differently. My doctor wants me to a CPAP of 19-20 but I just can't do it. I've settled on a range for now,...

Re: Mirage Quattro FX FFM - Feedback?
I have a Quattro FX that I use, because I can't find anything better. I keep trying other masks but winding up back with this one. For me, I have a lot of issues with leaks, it's also a lot tighter than I would like, but that's due mostly to my pressure. For me, it "can work" but one of our of four ...
