Re: CPAP Vets, Please Glance at my First Week...

Thanks yet again Pugs. I hope you are out there today b/c I want to let you know that I went home last night and looked in the S9 travel case, pulled out the original hose, and guess what? I found the piece that attaches to the swivel. If you look at my leak from last night, it is MUCH improved. How...

Re: CPAP Vets, Please Glance at my First Week...

Hey now Pugs, thanks for finding that part for me. You sure are quick and resourceful for sure!!! I ordered just the gray attachment as per your first link. I have never heard of UARS before and had to Google it to find out what it meant. As far as symptoms of UARS: • Chronic insomnia with frequent ...

Re: CPAP Vets, Please Glance at my First Week...

Once again, I bow to your knowledge Pugs. Thanks so much for all of your thoughtful insight, and your confirmation of what I expected. I think I found out the issue with my current mask. See this picture? http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u382/jpkman/Mask.jpg Well the mask that I have is missing t...

Re: CPAP Vets, Please Glance at my First Week...

Thanks Pugs. Is this better: http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u382/jpkman/FirstWeek.jpg I also took a shot of last night's graph so you can see the leak line. It looks to me as if the really high peaks of the leak line correspond to moments when the hose became unattached to the mask, but I'm not...

CPAP Vets, Please Glance at my First Week...

Hey guys, just finished my first week with the CPAP. As some of you may already know, I'm doing this entirely on my own and not working with a sleep specialist. I've been a heavy snorer and a terrible sleeper for YEARS. Below is my data from ReScan for the past week. Do I appear to be doing alright?...

Re: Acceptable Leak Level for S9???

Thanks Pugs, I really appreciate your patience as I usually need new concepts broken down to their simplest level along with numerous explanations.

I do believe that I now have a much better understanding of what the leak levels mean.

THANKS!!!

Acceptable Leak Level for S9???

What would be the answer to that question, and do they make a Sleep Apnea for Dummies or a ResMed S9 for Dummies (or something similar)???

Thanks everyone!!!

Re: # Newbie Needs Advice on First Night with S9 Autoset

Thanks Liz. What's the best (and simplest) method to increase my knowledge of all things sleep apnea with an emphasis on the S9 and how to better utilize the machine to improve my symptoms? There seems to be a TON of info out there, and since I'm going it alone (no Dr.), I'm not really sure where to...

Re: # Newbie Needs Advice on First Night with S9 Autoset

WOW!!! Thank you all so much for the excellent suggestions. I am going to attempt to try them all and see what works out the best. Thanks so all the suggestions. I guess I need to look into some type of hose management system. Like I said, I am a very restless sleeper, alternating between both sides...

Re: This CANNOT Be Right.....

Thanks guys. This is truly driving me crazy. I was told to look at the FX, so I did some research and it actually appeared to be the winner by a long shot in the mask department, and now I'm hearing that the Opus is the winner. Oh well, I'll give the FX a try and if that doesn't work then I'll try t...

Most Comfortable Pillow (for sleeping)????

Good afternoon all, hope everyone is doing well. I'm interested in some suggestions for a comfortable pillow to lay my head on when I go to sleep at night. I tried to do a search for this topic, but all I seemed to get were results for nasal pillows. I am a VERY restless sleeper. I am constantly alt...

Re: One Year Later

WOW!!! Congrats, that is totally awesome. Thanks so much for posting that as I am a newbie and in desperate need of some hope that this thing does indeed work. If you don't mind: What was your AHI like the first couple of months? How long did it take before you actually felt better? Regarding daytim...
