Re: VPAP Adapt prescription for BiPAP Auto SV machine
Good plan! I'm not much for keeping a log but I definitely am for this.

Re: VPAP Adapt prescription for BiPAP Auto SV machine
Slept good last night with BPM on auto. Didn't fight the machine at all. All other settings the same.

Re: VPAP Adapt prescription for BiPAP Auto SV machine
Jamis,
You're right IPAP min is 5.0. I have a smart card, do not have software yet. I set the BPM to Auto and no longer get Ti as an option.

Re: VPAP Adapt prescription for BiPAP Auto SV machine
Here's what I came up with
VPAP prescription: EEP +5, min 3, max 10, backup 15
Auto/SV settings: EPAP 5.0, IPAP min 3.0, IPAP max 10.0, BPM 15, 1.2 superscript S or Ti (not sure what this is), Start 4.0
I was thinking of turning the Start down to 3...

VPAP Adapt prescription for BiPAP Auto SV machine
Hi All, I had my sleep study with a VPAP Adapt. For monetary reasons I wound up with a used Auto/SV that was supposed to have been pre-programmed. I spend 15-30 minutes a night fighting the machine before I fall asleep. I sleep about 5 hours then wake up, start fighting the machine again and don't g...

Re: Prescription says VPAP Adapt what is Respironics equivalent?
Jamiswolf, I missed the $275 Craigslist one in Albuquerque by a day or two... I'm running out of time. Every day I feel more and more brain dead. Using a System one Bi-PAP set in Auto CPAP mode as a band-aid until I get an ASV. I'll see if Bandnuts or Nineset are still looking to sell. This site sho...

Re: Prescription says VPAP Adapt what is Respironics equivalent?
John, Thanks for the info. The techs at my sleep lab weren't sure. It would be nice if there were a table that showed equivalent devices from different manufacturers. It appears both the Resmed and the Respironics have been updated. Not sure what the new versions are. I found the Respironics with hu...

Prescription says VPAP Adapt what is Respironics equivalent?
I found a used Respironics Auto/SV Advanced but there are so many variants... Trying to save money but I don't want to buy something I can't use. I have central sleep apnea and was tested and successfully treated on a Resmed VPAP Adapt SV.
