Homer Simpson and cpap
This is the Season Premiere promo for the Simpsons. I almost think this is how it went when I first started. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-dCDe5xsqc

Re: Resmed H5i water level problem
What I do is turn the machine on for 10 sec about a half hour before I fill it. The air flow through the humidifier will dry it enough to see the lines.

Re: Another crazy question.

Re: Sleep specialist first visit
My o2 levels were fine at my sleep studies too. A couple months later they gave me a recording oximeter to use for i night and found that my o2 levels were to low. Been oxygen ever since and feel better. My bed is a lot softer then the sleep labs and I tend to prop my head up more in my sleep, I'm n...

Re: Plastic Smell From CPAP Last Night !
You may just need to wash out humitifier chamber. Sometimes if you just add water to it every night and don't clean it the water will start to smell from exhaust air that does not escape through the exhaust ports on the mask. I normally clean my tank once a week, but I smell it every night before I ...

Sleeping with windows open
Been on cpap for 6 months and love it. There is a draw back though, sleeping with the windows open. There was a skunk outside and boy did I wake up fast. Bad aroma therapy. Now that I think about it I probally would of woke up if I were using cpap or not.

Re: Industry standard for changing tubing, pillows, mask, filters
The VA normally follows the medicare guidelines. Mask 3 months, pillows 2 per month, filters 2 per month, tubing 3 months, humidifier 6 months, headgear 6 months. I've been using the Va since the beginning of the year and have not had a problem getting stuff. Some things like pillows or cushions tak...

Dream Water
I was at Walmart yesterday and saw a display for dream water. It said it was suppose to help you relax and sleep better. I don't see a need to try it since being on cpap for the last 3 months I sleep through the night. I was just curious if this actually does help.

Re: frequent nighttime urination
I used to wake up 2 or 3 times a night to use the bathroom. Since being diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and started using cpap I sleep through the night.

Re: Woohoo! I've finally recorded myself snoring
A couple of months ago when I was going through the sleep study process I downloaded a app on my ipod touch from resmed to record my sleeping. The next morning when I woke up and listened to it I got freaked out. I could hear myself snoring then there would be silence for a few moments then I could ...
